my fears have came true!
so, I finally had my appt with mr meleagros today to discuss the discomfort and hardness i've been experiencing in my leftie, and he's pretty sure its capsular contacture :-( so i have been given 2 options, to leave it if its not causing pain, or to have another op and have a brand new implant inserted. Has anyone else experienced this and gone ahead with the op and if so, did the same thing happen 2nd time round?

Re: my fears have came true!
From the advise he's given you, it sounds like its less than a grade 3, so a replacement may not be covered by your aftercare. Double check. Also, remove and replace would resolve it, but there's no guarantee it wont happen again. I think there was a girl on here who was on 3rd time after getting CC within 6m (cant remember who, sorry). I cant tell you what to do, only you can decide that, but perhaps if its bearable, give it a little longer to see if it worsens or not? How far post op are you?

Re: my fears have came true!
Replacement with most surgeons and companies is normally grade III and over
I had cc that's was over grade III but not fully grade 4 and had a reop last Nov xx

mr meleagros said i was covered as my implants are allergen so come under the warrenty as they promise that their implants will not cause capsulation

It would be worth double checking that Hun as I thought the warranty only covered you for rupture. Just found this on the natrelle website. Re: my fears have came true!
No implant can 100% guarantee that it wont cause capsulation. Certain ones can reduce the risk, but they are not allowed to promise they wont cause capsulation. Capsulation occurs when anything is introduced to the body, be it a breast implant, or a pace maker. Its more of a complication with BA as this is meant to be soft tissue. They will only be under warranty if its grade 3 or above normally. Please do double check your aftercare.

Re: my fears have came true!
Sorry to hear this but charlil is right they can't guarantee it won't happen 100% as it's your bodies personal reaction to a foreign object. Textured implants are meant to reduce the risk (but a surgeon in canada actually argues this and believes it causes more than smooth) sometimes having the restrictive scar tissue cut out fixes it but unfortunately with some people it returns, others it continues to reoccur and the implants then have to be removed, hope you get to the bottom of it xx
