Newbie - General Q's from a pre BA
I'm Laura, 22 y/o & live in South Yorkshire. I've been considering BA for many years but now I'm eventually beginning to think about it seriously!
I live in Rotherham/Sheffield & wondered if anyone is from this area who had surgery local & can recommend surgeons/clinics? From the research I've been doing Transform & HMG don't seem favorable... I have MYA in mind but any other recommendations would help!
Never been measured but wear padded 32B, realistically I'm more 32A & have little breast tissue. Around 5'7" & weigh about 9 st. I want a natural look, from what I've researched I don't want overs... Either unders or partial unders. Just watched a video where the implants were really square straight after op, is this same for all?
So many questions I'm sure I'll ask more as I get replies! The only thing is £££ at the minute, wish I'd saved up since 16/17 when I first started wanting them haha but hindsights a wonderful thing. Do most clinics ask for minimum £1000 deposit?

Hi Laura...I'm to sure about clinics in your area but I am similar stats to you...I'm 5.8 and weigh 9 1/2 stone. I'm having 365 overs next weekend... I think there are other ladies on here with similar stats.
My deposit with transform was only 250 but I think it depends how soon you want it done...
If you look for the newbie section to say hi I think the girls on here will welcome you to breat buddies xx.

Thank you I've popped over and posted an hello message :-)
Do you mind me asking your pre BA size & expected after op? I thought I'd want the teardrop shape but the more I look at "after" pics of rounds preferring them more

Hi Laura, I'm around same size as you. I wanted a natural look, which I told my surgeon and he told me what I should have. You should have a few consultations whilst you're saving. I had two with transform as they are free. I had my surgeon in mind and he cost £130 for the consultation, so I checked out the others first. Although I would say have a few consultations beware that they may all recommend different things which may confuse you further.
Mine were squarish just at the top for a couple of days. That videos brilliant to prepare you but it's not always as drastic as that. Xx

Re: Newbie - General Q's from a pre BA
I'm a rather empty 32b...never been big chested...I have bought a 34 macom due to swelling post op and a dd sports bra...I'm hoping for a d but it's not guaranteed as it could be more. Im hoping it won't be less...it seems to depend on your build, rib cage size etc so open minded about expected size..some of the ladies on here may let you have a look at their pics but some may not just yet as they may want to get to know you first...
I would have a consultation and see what the surgeon suggests as he will have lots of experience with the shape that will suit you...some of the ladies have also said to go for the look rather than the cup size, it at be worth taking some pics with you of what you would like your result to be...
Hope this helps a little...xx

Re: Newbie - General Q's from a pre BA
hi and welcome!
I have very similar stats to you, 5'7, around 9.5 stone, and used to be a 30/32 nothing.
on the placement you might have a preference but it does depend on your surgeon's assessment and recommendation. some placements suit different people better as it depends on what you start out with.
for 'me', as i had no or very little breast tissue and a slim upper body frame, i was recommended unders (partials) and i was happy with that.
everyone heals differently so although some boobs can look somewhat odd shaped at first early post op, not everyone's look 'square', and in any case you'll be stuck in your support bras anyway so no one would see that you looked square in clothes or anything like that :)
to get an idea of what kind of implant size you might like, type in 'rice boobs' into the search bar on the top right of this page, it gives you instructions on how to make your own implant sizers. pop these in a sports bra and try them on with different clothes, pretty fun and gets you excited about new boobs :)
i had a fairly small implant, 265cc, and i now measure a 30E or 32DD cup, but i don't look like i have 'big' boobs by any means. i wanted to be in proportion with the rest of my body and that's what i am now.
i have a fairly detailed picture trail so let me know if you'd like to have a look at the different stages of healing.
happy researching x

Hi and welcome x
They can initially be strange shapes but soon settle down.
Placement is decided by surgeon as they do it everyday and will decide what will work for your body.
I only paid a £200 deposit and the balance 3 days before op.
Good luck hun x

Hi, I was a small 32B/a and had partial under the muscle anatomical. I was lucky as mine where not square at all- I think this is as I has a very natural teardrop shaped breast to start with. My surgeon advised under and said with my sized implant it would be visible at the top. X

Hey Hun. I was a 32A but had enough tissue to go over the muscle. I wanted the fake look. Had 375cc. I went to a 32FF! But very natural looking. Looking for re op in August to go under the muscle and a larger implant to fill my upper pole as I have none x

I'm not far from you I'm in Leeds, I went with the hospital group and my surgeon is called Mr Sforza, have you considered THG? Or maybe looking into a Spire surgeon?
I am 5ft 6, 9 stone and had 410cc over so similar stats to you , was an empty 34C from having 2 babies now measuring 30F in Boux Avenue :) xxx
