Smoking
Hi lovely girls...
So believe it or not had about 3 hours sleep, I'm certainly not sleeping Again though any time soon. I'm now hungry and need a drink, I also need a cigarette but understand smoking before surgery isn't very good whatsoever, I looked this up because I couldn't remember what surgeon said. What a crap combination, hey? It's nearly 4.00am just don't know what to do with my self............
Would like a double sausage & a hash brown from Maccies! Maybe Saturday morning, though xxxxxxx

Re: Smoking
Stay away from the cigarettes for as long as you can Boney. At least 2 weeks post-op if you can do it.
Its fact that smoking can hinder your recovery. It decreases the oxygen in the bloodstream which can slow down the healing process and could lead to infection. Its a proven fact that smokers are at a higher risk of infection post-op.
If you can quit totally its really is in your best interest to do so after having breast implants. Smoking throughout the entire time you have implant WILL increase your risk of CC. Smoking with breast implants goes waaaay beyond the healing process sweetness and there is a 'proven' link between smokers and getting CC. The risks are much high. Xx
It must be so, so hard to quit if you've been smoking for a long time, or if you enjoy it and may not necessarily want to, but we have to put the facts out there and its your choice then what you want to do, but it is advisable to discuss it with your surgeon and follow their advise 'for you' xx

Re: Smoking
I had one cigarette at two weeks post op and am feeling so guilty now :( I hadn't smoked properly since New Year's Eve apart from the odd one on a night out. I'm worrying I'm now going to get cc because of it. It's worth not doing it for the peace of mind x
