Profile difference?
Just been reading a post on profiles. I wasn't told about these and just wondered what the difference between high, moderate and low profiles are? X

Re: Profile difference?
It's how much the implant projects. You can have all the same volume, but a moderate profile will be wider and thinner than a high profile. This is where you breast width diameter (bwd) comes in, as you can only have an implant with a tolerance of around 1.5cm either way. You should have been measured up for it, and then they would suggest a best fit. If your not sure what you're having, call and ask.

Ok thanks. He did measure the width and told me it would be partially under but didn't mention anything about that, x

Re: Profile difference?
Unders or partials is just the placement. The profile is the type of implant. You see in my blurb it says TRX? That means a Textured Responsive Xtra high implant. If you've chosen a size, they should be able to give you this information.

Re: Profile difference?
I'm just looking through my paperwork and all I can find is that they're 'inspira soft touch' but obviously that's just the make. Would the fact that I'm having an uplift make any difference? x

Re: Profile difference?
Nope no diffence Hun, it's all to do with your anatomy and look you want with what profile you have
There's moderates (low), high and extra high
Do you have a 'model number' next to the implant type. ? If so it'd be on their product list with what profile it is.
Or maybe just send your surgeon an email asking what profile it is you're having? X

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I've got my pre op Saturday so maybe I could rebook to see him. I'm also thinking about going a bit bigger so could do that at the same time, x

Re: Profile difference?
Don't worry Hun, it's what will fit you bwd too lovely (breast width diameter) not just the look. The cc chosen for you may only fit you in a HP x

Re: Profile difference?
I would make another appointment to see your surgeon again, just to go over sizes etc so you are happy with what is chosen will get the look you are after & do take pictures with you to show your surgeon ,it's the best way to make sure he knows what you would like your results to be. The surgeon using the pics and your measurements can use his expertise to work out the size/ shape of implant needed to get that result if possible.
