6 month review
Hey,
As most of you know I have been having problems with my boobs ( warm feeling etc) well went to see surgeon today and he has said there's nothing wrong, but did notice that my bra (30FF)was leaving red marks on my skin and said that may be causing the aching.
He also said I'm definitely a 32 band and not a 30 but I can do the 32 band on the 2nd set of hooks so am confused.
I went to Marks and Spencer before work and they measured me as 29/30inches but the lady who did it said she would try a 32 band so tried a 32,F as I had explained what had gone on at review appointment.
But at least everything is ok.

Glad everything ok Hun, have you been fitted at a bravissimo?
They're incredibly good and you maybe diffrent band sizes in diffrent brands. At bravissimo they
L try on lots of styles and bras to find the most fitting for you . X

Yeah I was at 6 weeks, was going to go to bravissimo at weekend (Solihull) to get re measured but now not sure to do that and go against my surgeon's advice.

Re: 6 month review
Your surgeon isn't a bra fitter Hun. When you go to bravissimo just explain what he's said and ask if it should be leaving marks and maybe they can ajust the cup size rather than the band size , you may find your 6 week bras are too small! X

Noooooo Noooooo Nooooo!!!! Do not use this way of measuring! This is the old way of measuring and this will not give you your true band size at all and it will give you no support what so ever for your boobs!!!Moomins wrote:I asked in m&s the other day - measure round your back if its an odd number add 5 and if its even add 4, then that is your size !!

Measure round your back under your boobs and this is your band size! do not add on numbers at all. The support for your boobs comes from the band, not the cups or the straps, if you get this wrong you will be not supporting those babies properly at all!

Re: 6 month review
I went to bravissimo 6 weeks post op and was measured a 30g but after review yesterday lunchtime my surgeon said definately a 32 band, confused.com.
But the thing is that I am due on my period so that might account for the tightness and leaving red marks, but don't know. Will give bravissimo a ring for some advice.

Re: 6 month review
I find it all really odd.
I measure 31 I would struggle to do up a 32 bra. Have always worn a 34.
Need to go somewhere else and get measured once I've got my boobs done.

Re: 6 month review
You would have definitely changed since 6 weeks. Your surgeon is not a bra fitter either Hun.
Moomins, you should always do you bra up on the first hooks as through wearing and washing over time the bra will stretch so you can then use the tighter hooks. I measure 31 under and I was fitted into a 32 band, and on there is no way I can do mine up on the tighter hooks but it is ok on the loosest one.

Re: 6 month review
Thanks tink,
Reassuring to know and by the way they feel in the cups of the bra I've got on it's tight .
I rang bravissimo for advice and the girl on the phone said if it's leaving red marks but they are disappearing when you take it off then it's the correct back size, but now I thimk it is the cup size which is wrong not the back.
Got appojntment at bravissimo on easter monday so will see then if I've gone up a size - but to me it doesn't really matter what size the bra is it's how you feel in it.
