Hi ladies ! I sent an email to both Transform and THG asking the extra questions I wanted to know about aftercare , here is the response from THG (transform yet to reply) what do you girls think ??

Hope you are well. Of course ask as many questions as you require, this is what I am here for.

1/Capsular Contraction - covered free? if so how many years? 3YEARS
2/Rupture - covered free? if so how many years? FIRST TEN YEARS WITH SURGICAL COVER AFTER 10 YEARS, IMPLANT REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE, SURGICAL CHARGABLE.
3/Pocket revision for bottoming out - covered free? if so how many years? LIFETIME
4/Severe scarring - covered free? if so how many years? LIFETIME

Will I have to pay extra for aftercare eg bandaging, steri strips, lotions ? NO CHARG, INCLUDED IN LIFETIME AFTERCARE

Are all post op visits free or do I need to pay to see my surgeon for aftercare? NO CHARGE INCLUDED IN LIFETIME AFTERCARE.

Will I see a nurse or the surgeon following the operation? YOU WILL SEE A NURSE AT 7/14 DAY POST OP APPOINTMENT AND SURGEON FOR REMAINING REVIEWS....THIS AGAIN IS LIFETIME.

If my surgeon moves clinic, how does this affect my aftercare? Will I still be eligible for the full aftercare package? YES YOU WILL BE, REAGRDLESS OF THE SURGEON MOVING CLINICS FULL LIFETIME AFTERCARE STILL GIVEN.

What type of warranty will I receive with the implants? 10 YEARS RUPTURE WITH SURGICAL COVER, AFTER 10 YEARS LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR THE IMPLANTS.

Is there a doctor/nurse on call 24 hours? YES WE HAVE OUT OF HOURS NURSES/DOCTORS, ALSO ME AS PCC WILL BE ON CALL.

Would I be able to contact my surgeon directly should I encounter any problems? YOU WOULD CONTACT MYSELF DIRECT IN WHICH I WOULD CONTACT THE SURGEON.

Would  I have drains in following surgery? NO DRAINS NEEDED

Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of your aftercare policy by email?http://www.thehospitalgroup.org/cosmetic-surgery/unlimited-aftercare/

So they're offering a budget implant and basically you get 3 years aftercare

10 years for rupture.

That's basically your bog standard coverage babe. Xx

Its basic cover really. CC is grade 3 and up I think, its on their website. Their 'lifetime care' means you can see a nurse at any time, but Ive heard some girls struggling to get post op appointments with their surgeons. I went with THG, and I was happy with it...But then Ive had no issues currently, so havent had to go back for anything other than my check ups.

Yup - ruptures are covered, but if you have any reactions caused by the rupture that isn't covered. This was with Transform.

Terrible isn't it. They implant you and renege on any responsibility when your body reacts to the very implant they implanted!  growl

Cost me another £4500 even though I had aftercare.

on the hospital group website its grade 4-5 baker grade, that quite severe CC I had grade 3 and my surgeon would have operated on that by the time I had reop it was borderline grade 4

yes cookie def you would think that as its the rupture causing the probs the probs would be sorted too!! very wrong isnt it xx

Ahhhh I see. Their website only mentions Allergan and their budget implant (CUI) has a 10 year warranty, they premium implant (Natrelle) has a lifetime warranty hence my mistake lovely.

Yes, Motiva is a good implant. They do have a 10 year warranty as suggested by THG in their opening letter. They are also as you said a 5th generation implant  yes

Its worth weighing that up against the Natrelle Soft touch which is also a 5th generation implant. They offer a lifetime warranty with £750 towards any possible surgery you might have in the first ten years (remember on average you only get as you're seeing a 3 year warranty from clinics) after the 10 years should you need implants replacing the implant alone would be free for you. Xx

So its something to think about. Xx

Yes... Very clever wording in their advertising is very alluring at first glance isn't it.

Its only when you actually start to dig that you realise - there's actual no such thing.

Sorry, just to add - yes, its not a bad package if you're happy to proceed with the surgeon babe. Xx
