Re: Sleeping question
I was never actually told to sleep propped up, it was only from the lovely ladies on here that I knew to do it. I think it's to help swelling go down and I managed to do it for about a week! X

Re: Sleeping question
You don't sleep upright just more propped up head above shoulders to help reduce the swelling and you won't be able to sleep on your side anyhow not for a good few weeks.
A couple of pillows is sufficient, or 2 pillows and your v pillow,on top to support your head, shoulders and arms. Is the most comfiest way to sleep x

Re: Sleeping question
First week I slept in a reclining sofa. Then 3 pillows for a few weeks. Now at week 5 I'm back to sleeping on my side and down to my normal none!!
Good luck x

Re: Sleeping question
Hi. ,
Everyone's post op instructions can be different depends on individual & what surgeon recommends.
Sleeping raised is to help with swelling ,at 3 weeks post op I would imagine any swelling has reduced & you should be able to be start getting yourself into a more comfy position in bed & not be needing all those pillows.
Wearing a sports bra is to keep your new boobs stable whilst they heal, your surgeon should have given you instructions on length of time you need to wear it, some have to wear it for around 6 weeks until post op check ,others much longer & some don't have to wear any bra. I would give your surgeon/ clinic a call to check as not following post op instructions can void your aftercare.
I hope everything is healing well & you are happy with your results so far.

Re: Sleeping question
yeah like mirren said the sleeping upright is mostly for the swelling so I think that you can take away some pillows, just keep using the v pillow or put some at the side so that you dont roll over, until you hear from your surgeon xx
