Sleeping question...
Hi girls :-)
I had my BA 4 days ago.. And was just wondering roughly how long I need to sleep propped up for? I think im overdoing it with the pillows and wake up with a sore back lol. How propped up do I need to be?
Ta in advance! xG

Re: Sleeping question...
Generally about 2 weeks hun.
A pillow and your V-Pillow should be enough to help keep you propped up hun. As long as your head and shoulders are raised higher than your chest that's all that's needed. A pillow under each arm too helps keep you supported as well as another under your knees babe to help take that pressure from your back.
Hope you get a better sleep tonight. Xx

Re: Sleeping question...
awww hun, sleeping upright is the worst! as cookie said you don't have to be bolt upright, just head above shoulders however i found it more comfortable to be quite raised. It is usually around 2 weeks but i think i emailed my nurse at 10 days and she said that I didn't need to be raised anymore so drop your clinic an email just to be sure xx

Re: Sleeping question...
I was told 2 weeks and it did awful things to my back, I also found my posture walking around in the day was very hunched in a protective way over my boobs. If your back is bad hun, try a hot water bottle on your lower back to ease the pain, and watch your posture when you are sitting.standing during the day.

Re: Sleeping question...
As the others have said, it's usually about 2 weeks and only your head has to be raised. I found it more comfy raised right up though. Try a rolled up towel at the bottom of your back.

Re: Sleeping question...
Thanks for asking this! I like to sleep with two firm pillows (my boyf prefers to basically have no pillow which i dont understand but anyways) so its not so much the being proped up..but the sleeping on the back part i imagine will be the worst and give us all bad backs for a while...
Cant believe your avi though, looks great even though your so early on :) xx

Re: Sleeping question...
I know how you feel babe. Due to needing to support my scars, 7 months on I'm still in support bras (different surgery to what you had) and I don't see my surgeon till the end of the month and I can't wait to be able to put on some nice lacy lingerie.
Its funny though, because when I know I can wear my wires, I'm mostly in support bras for comfort anyway, but when I'm told I can't wear them... I REALLY want too haha.
A little different to you though. You must be SUPER excited to get that first fitting when you can chose those gorgeous bras and actually fill them the way you've always wanted too.... Awww I'll never forget that feeling G. Its the best feeling ever

Re: Sleeping question...
My sister is the same! She was dying to get into wires and now she only wears her wires when she is going out. She is always in her sports bra now. Hopefully you will be able to buy wires soon babe! :-) would also love to just takw this chance to thank you for all ur support over the past few months cookie. I genuinely can't thank you enough xx
Jennifer - thank you!! I am delighted already :-) appreciate ur comment!!my boyfriend is the worst for pillows.. He normally sleeps with loads anyway. The first noght or two was fine for me but it is starting to take its toll. xx
