scar :-(
My scars were looking great. I did have some light scabbing but this was going.
This morning I noticed their was this loose bit of skin so.. Yep I pulled it a little, but it's not skin it's like string!!!!
It's made it bleed a tiny bit, no pain,
What is it!?

I could only talk on phone. But waiting for gp to call me to see whether he wants to give me antibiotics.
Looked online and it looks like a spitting stitch?!?
That's not me but it looks like that.

Re: scar :-(
If it does look like that then its likely a stich. They may want you to go in to have it trimmed. Best to get it looked at though.

Re: scar :-(
Hi hun. Lots of advice up there already. Sounds like a remnant of the dissolvable stitch.
Also never ever pick on surgical scars ;) The granulate over, which makes it look like there is loose skin but this is the natural healing process. The skin will fall off on it's own once the newer layer of skin underneath is healed and ready to go so to speak. If you pull it away too soon - it causes bleeding and it is an open route for outside bacteria to inside hence why they recommended antibiotics. Please don't worry- sounds like you are in good hands and will see the surgeon in 2 days time too. Let us know how you get on xxx

Re: scar :-(
Spitting stitches are a VERY common thing when having a BA and nothing at all to be overly concerned about.
If spitting stitches are seen as kdee suggested, do not pick at them. Simply make an appointment at the clinic if you're concerned and they will simply remove it under sterile conditions.
Looking at the pic you showed Sahara the tissue surrounding the stitch is dry, no oozing, or redness and the scar looks good.
I'm glad your GP gave you the reassurance you needed babe and any more appear you'll know exactly what they are xx
