Jumping nerves Empty Jumping nerves

Post by LJK 10th July 2009, 6:23 pm

Hiya, yesterday i had a nerve keep twinging in my left arm, then later on it changed to my right arm, now today i have been feeling an intermitent nerve jumping about under my left breast. Has anyone else had this? Its quite annoying isn't it. I take it its just the nerves knitting back together again?

Yeh hun all the twinges are totally normal early on, its just the damaged nerves rebuilding themselves. All healthy signs of recovery, xx

Aw saw your other post too! Were not told in detail all the weird and wonderful feelings we get at the initial recovery stage. Thank goodness for this forum to reassure us!

Hysterical Hysterical Hysterical Hysterical

Thanks girls, you've put my mind at rest. When i move my right arm is a certain way, it causes a farty sound in the right boob, no pain, just noise and a pop feeling.

Think i finally had my low dip last night and this morning, felt really low and tearful,- i know thats the GA finally coming out of the system, so i'm not too worried about it.

Saw my sister in law and her OH this morning and neither of them even asked how i was, made no comment to me at all. Quite upset me because all i want is acceptance. Think i expect people to react the same way i would if i new someone had gone in for an op, i would ask how they are, are they happy, say you look good etc.

The post Ga blues are awful, hopefully your over it now, all you have to do is post here if not. I also understand how you feel, my sister who I consider to be really close just said 'oh you can tell' and has neveer mentioned it since! Like you say we are all different and if we judge others by our own standards often we're dissapointed, shame but a fact.....
Hope your healing carries on going well. Hug

Hi, I hadn't had this at all until I was about 5 wks post-op (a week ago) - I could see the top of my arm kind of flickering, and it was like that intermittently for a day or 2 (I was watching the Ancy Murray tennis match so maybe it's adrenalin-related!)

Haven't had it since, I put it down to my strap being too tight but it was probably just nerves healing etc.

ps don't worry about family reaction - I know my sister really disapproves so I've made up my mind not to ever mention it to her. Think they are the ones who obviously have issues, not us!

Thanks girls, the nerves seem to have settled back down again, not so noticeable now.

I was horribly down this morning, had a good old go at OH, have since appologised!

My mum and dad came to see me today, first time since BA, and they were so sweet, just told me i looked good and they were pleased for me. That means so much to me because i've always had an easy relationship with my mum, but had a bit of a rocky relationship with my dad, some his fault and some of it my fault. So for him to just be happy for me, has really made me feel good. Who knows, my new additions may have healed a bit of a family rift? they've certainly helped!!
