Re: Nerves
I'm not staying over night with mine, it's an outpatient surgery. But my BA is in four days also. I'm getting nervous also. I'm just making sure I have everything ready for me when I get home to make myself as confortable as possible.

Re: Nerves
Hi,
I'ts perfectly normal for the nerves to be kicking in hun and probably a bit of excitement in there to but you will be fine.
My v pillow was my best friend and great for the journey home in the car. Wet wipes were handy and make sure you have front opening pj's or night shirt.
Good luck x

We are going to be surgery at the same time. My arrival time is noon and by surgery is scheduled for 1:00. My ps said the surgery will take about 70 minutes.

Re: Nerves
Oooooh I am well jealous! Would love to do it again :)
Enjoy it, make the most of every moment and just relaxxxx!
Sounds like you're all prepared, make sure everything is about waist height for when you get back home...
Don't put clothes away in drawers or wardrobe's that are hard to open - you don't have much hand strength!
Get some panadol to have in between your prescription meds during the day...
Take all the drugs they offer you in the hospital, don't try to be a superhero and end up needing to be tranquilised with a litre of morphine and two nurses holding you down...
Make sure there's lots of random snacks to eat when you get home...
Wear proper underwear when you go in for surgery in case they don't give you underwear to wear (g-string = embarrassing!)...
Give your hair a triple shampoo on the day and dry it off nicely, it's going to be a while before you eash again... Ask the nurses to tie it up before you leave...
Have a sad movie waiting for the day after your operation - I have no idea why but I had tears streaming down my face on the second night (it's a side effect from the GA) so just hire a good soppy movie to get it out of your system!!!!
Sorry I am rambling on now, GOOD LUCK, ENJOY!
Thinking of you,
xxxxxx

Re: Nerves
* I just read my post before, when I said take panadol in between your prescription med's I don't mean on top of your prescription med's!!!
The ones the clinic give you are brilliant but as they don't give you a lot I saved their ones for night and first thing in the morning and during the day took the less strong ones I bought myself to make the good ones go further...
Definitely not reccomending a double-up on medication! You will be all woooooooooooht if you do that
xx

Re: Nerves
Aw thanks Welshvicci, very sweet of you. It's nice to share pointers to hopefully make others journeys enjoyable :)
A few people have asked about this Bra, so I just checked it out. I got given it from my docs so I didn't buy one online, but;
The brand is - Amoena
The model is - Frances
This is a link I found - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I am wearing the EU 70/75 A/B (keep in mind I am impossibly small around the waist, they said I am the smallest person they have had in) and this bra is getting loose on me, I need to tumble dry it to snap it back a bit now and the cup's seem to big as well (which totally sucks - A/B??!!! Wha...???!)
But it is beautiful, so comfortable, doesn't dig in.
