Re: May buddies
Hi Carly,
It's my big day on Thursday too - YEY!!!!!!!!
I've been feeling a little anxious this week but I know I'll be ok. VERY EXCITED though too :)
I've got 2 sports bra's in the sizes specified by my surgeon. On Wednesday I'm going to buy a v-pillow and a travel pillow/neck support to hopefully help get comfortable whilst sleeping propped up! I've already got baby wipes and dry shampoo to freshen up when I'm not allowed a shower. I'm taking something to read to keep me occupied and some lip balm/water/snacks for afterwards. I heard a few people mention they took a pillow with them to help with the car journey home which I think is a good idea. Anyone got any other ideas??

Re: May buddies
Have you got your laxatives ladies just incase ...ice for those boobies....I got paracetamol because I didn't need the codeine they supplied (think positive ladies)...make sure you have got some things at a reachable height as you won't be able to lift your arms up... I had help but wanted to be able to get to things myself..
Easy to put on clothes...shoes..something comfy and loose
Excited for you ladies..xx

Re: May buddies
Forgot to mention I've also bought a few button/zip up tops and Pjs. Ooo, ice packs - good one, wouldn't have thought of that. I'll make sure I stock up on paracetamol, ibuprofen and laxatives (just in case!) as well. Thanks Mich!Cheekymich wrote:Have you got your laxatives ladies just incase ...ice for those boobies....I got paracetamol because I didn't need the codeine they supplied (think positive ladies)...make sure you have got some things at a reachable height as you won't be able to lift your arms up... Hello my love! How's the wonky arm?? Hope it's on the mend xx Well done on getting your BA rebooked so quickly after it initially sounded like it was going to be months, I imagine it was a relief once you'd gotten yourself mentally prepared.sharonmcc1979 wrote:armpit wax! may be a while til u can shave under there. Good suggestion! I've actually had laser hair removal there so thankfully that will be one thing I won't need to worry about lol

Will you have time for shopping tomorrow?! I wouldn't get too many more though cuz you can't be sure what size you're going to achieve. I've got 3 sports bras and will leave it at that until afterwards at which point I could pop out and get another one or two if needed.
How are you feeling about it being tomorrow? I'm really quite nervous! My admission time is 10am in Doncaster. I'll be dropping the kids off at my friends at 7:45am and driving up with my husband. I'm pleased it's not too much of an early start. I need to pop out this afternoon to get an ice pack from Wilkos and that's me done I think. Scary!!!
I hope everything goes ok for you, let me know how you get on xx
