Pain in the sides since Empty Pain in the sides since

Post by Sahara1981 4th March 2014, 2:11 pm

I was really lucky I had no pain early on but since I started driving again I'm aching all down my sides.
Also my nipples are so sensitive that I've had to fold up tissue as they were touching my bra and irritating me.

Is this normal?? Oh and I had my first ever morning boob this morning!!

I drive an automatic and only drive for 10 min a day (school and back).

Hi hun, I can't help with the pain but for the sensitive nipples, I am thinking that you could use the nipple pads that women wear when breastfeeding. They are comfy and will stop your bra rubbing on your nipples. xx

Hopefully it won't last for long. How are you feeling now apart from this? Hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for Friday. I hope it all goes well too, I am a little worried now incase anything else goes wrong after the Pcc had not changed my date properly. Xx

I'm having sensitive nipples too and pains down the sides from armpits. I'm driving a non-automatic car though. I think that's completely normal hun. I'm using loo roll too to pad it out ;)

Another idea would be to use the pads that you use to take your make up off with, the cotton wool pads. X

Lucia you are very resourceful!!

Yeah I'm ok trying not to look at them to much to but have my first post op app on Thursday and have to drive on the motorway for 30 min.
Hoping they won't prod at them to much. But Def hope I get the all clear for a proper bath!!

Lol, I do try to be resourceful.

You have been on such a journey Hun, and I really hope that at the end of your journey you have a smile on your face.

I wouldn't have thought that they would prod too much, just a check on wounds etc and dressing if you still have any on.

It would be lovely if you get the all clear for a bath as that will make you feel so much more refreshed and normal again.

Been thinking of you and what a hard time you have had, but hopefully you will come out of this happy like so many other girls that I have read that we're unhappy in the beginning. Xx

Thank u Lucia. It's mad that it's only been 13days it feels like 3x that. Yeah I still have the large dressings on, bit nervous about seeing incisions scars.

On that note where will the incisions be as it's ment to be in the crease but as the implants/boobs are so high????

The incisions will look like they are sitting a little higher too to begin with (as the breast is still high) but as the breast releases- they will sit in the crease nicely.
In my first appointment they removed the dressings and the nurse had a gentle feel around the implant too. No pain whatsoever and she gave me advice on what to do next.

The sensitive nipples are very normal, babe! My nipples were really sensitive and pretty painful for about 2 weeks post-op but they calmed down after that. The tissue roll idea sounds good :) I hope it's easing the discomfort of it all!
Also, your pains will probably be a mixture of muscle and nerve pain --probably mostly muscle due to driving and using your chest muscles more and more. Don't worry, honey, it will all get better as the days go by.

I hope you're well other than the discomfort and odd twinges of pain.

Take care xxxx

Pain in the sides since Empty Re: Pain in the sides since

All sounds fine to me. Breast pads or cotton wool pads are a life saver for sensitive nips, and you can always moisturise them if theyre getting chapped, just no where near your incisions. I used to pop them under my compression band to keep them in place. Definitely a sexy look!

You're sides are probably hurting from all the vacuuming (theres no finger wagging smilie to insert here!) It could be anything, its all just normal healing aches as you get back to routine.

My incisions looked super high when I first came out, but as kdeee says, its just because your implant is held tight and high at the moment, effectively pulling the skin up. As the implant drops, the scar will move into the crease and become near invisible.

Pain in the sides since Empty Re: Pain in the sides since

Post by kati1236 4th March 2014, 11:36 pm

Hi Sahara just to say I have the side pain too. I don't notice it is there at all but if I brush just under my armpit down to my incisions I could cry. Only pain I've had but since it's only when I touch there. I just leave it well alone :)
I have the opposite of over sensitive. I have one normal and one numb. I don't care much about loss of sensation and it's worth it if it stays. But they will more than likely return to normal soon. Still so early post op xx
