boobie blues
Yep. I got it… Swelling has gone down and they look so much smaller (or I'm used to them) and OH just said they are not that much bigger than old boobs and I could have gone for the bigger. And friend who saw them today said the same. Confidence just dropped. I wish I hadn't chickened out of 310cc now :( I'm sure I get over it but had to get it out. They are still much better than they were. I look forward to being able to dress them up in few months.

Re: boobie blues
Hun
You know, I too had this... I was so worried 380 would be huge I didn't really consider 400 I wish in a way I had But after a couple more weeks and more settling I am loving them more again...You'll see.
I watched the BIG BOOBS on bodyshockers last night.... LOL that made me feel better, poor girl had H or something and ended up HATING them, so she had a reduction to a DD and was much happier.
It made me realise: Bigger IS NOT always better....
(unless you want a particular look )
You will LOVE them hun, you are soooooooooooooo early Post BA.
xx

Re: boobie blues
Okay, babe! It sounds like you're experiencing what I'm sure we've all experienced at some time! I felt exactly the same.. I'm certain that if you traced back to early January you'd see many posts from myself regarding how small i thought i was and why my boobs had shrunk! Trust me.. Your boobs haven't shrunk. There's no way the implant can decrease in size - It just isn't possible haha. I personally think your boobs are perfect!! They're such a great size and I don't believe your OH or your friend at all when they said there isn't much difference. Trust me, once your boobs have dropped and fluffed you'll be laughing at yourself for writing this post haha :) my mum and sister told me that my boobs looked the same as they were pre-op and i got so down and depressed.. I felt like I'd completely wasted my money! However, i updated my picturetrail the other day and combined a before and after picture and holey moley they looked huge! The difference was massive between the two sizes and at that moment i realised how much i loved them!
Don't listen to your OH or anyone else.. It's how YOU feel. You also have to remember that you're looking at them all day and you're getting used to the size. Take a picture of them and combine it with a before-op picture and i'm sure you'll feel better!!
You still have such a long way to go yet, babe!!! DROPPING AND FLUFFING IS STILL TO COME!!
Take care, babe, and remember that boobie blues are so natural and common. It'll pass and as soon as you start wearing pretty underwired bras (that actually enhance your boobs instead of squashing them) you'll feel lots, lots better!!
Much love xxxxx

Re: boobie blues
Hey Hun, I got the blues too, but for the opposite reason. I felt like mine were HUGE, I was literally scared of them at first! I don't even have any photos of the first 2/3 weeks as I just didn't dare look at them! I just sat and cried a couple of times and wondered what the hell i'd done, but as everyone says, it soon passed! I'm getting used to them now and getting happier each day with them, and trying to remind myself this is a very long journey and there's a long way to go yet! I assure you, like so many others, you really will overcome this and be happy with your newbies! The first couple weeks suck even more when you feel like you can't do all the normal daily things which can make you down anyway. But you will be fine Hun! Keep your chin up you will see xxxx

Re: boobie blues
Thank you ladies
I'm hopeful this will pass too. I feel like a proper crazy lady- I even got up last night to check them in the mirror They are a lot lot better than what they were. I'm sure this macom just makes them look flatter anyway... I will try few of my clothes on today as I'm sure they will look tons better now.
I guess you are all right- I look much better in a bikini than before the BA and this is what I asked for.
In the future if I need the boosted look I can always opt for a padded bra haha.
Just wish my OH and friend hadn't made those comments but they said from the beginning when I showed them the rice boobs to go for the bigger ones... So they have been truthful and it's not malice. Even PS said to me in my second sizing appointment that he would go for the bigger 310 implant as girls often say to him that they wish they had done so. I just chickened out...
Thanks you so much for your support and sorry for being silly. We have been all forewarned that this boobie blues may happen.
I will go and try some more sports bras on on Monday when I get my dressings changed to make me feel better xxx

Re: boobie blues
Thanks Tink.
I am super lucky as they look so so good compared to what was there before. I am so glad I had them done- no regrets what so ever. I still wish I had them done sooner :)
I think just comments yesterday made me doubt my decision of going for the smallest of the 3 implants offered to me. Green boobie greed kicked in yesterday
I have just taken some pore pictures in a bikini and compared it to pre-op (I put it onto my picture trail too). Huge improvement.
I have had a little talk to myself too and reassured myself that I wanted them to be a bit smaller rather than too big because of my job, hobbies and also to leave room to go bigger if I need to after I have kids to fill out the skin. If I can have kids in first place as I got endometriosis and have had 2 surgeries for it already but I'm not ready to try for them for a good few years yet, which I know may cost me the chance of ever having them.
I guess feeling wobbly post op is normal- specially as you have all said that our energy has gone into healing and we feel still a bit "off" from the GA and not quite our usual selves.
I am just really glad that my decision to have BA has been throughly thought through and properly researched. I just watched Bodyshockers- My Boobie Hell on 4OD and feel so sorry for the girl who "just booked it and did it as if it was a hair appointment" and she is now not happy with them.

Re: boobie blues
Whoop regards the comment Tink Huge confidence boost.
I wonder what your hubby will say- most men I know dislike when other men notice their wives/girlfriends
I just spoke to my mum and nan on the phone earlier and emailed them some recent pictures- they think mine look great and told me to ignore all other comments. My nan is bit of a boobie expert- she fits bras still at the age of 78! :)
I'm so pleased my folks are behind me all the way xxx

Re: boobie blues
We've all had it, everyone goes through ups and downs especially so early on, it doesn't help that the surgical bras aren't the sexiest of things. Once you get further down the recovery road and into some lovely bras with your new boobs you'll feel so much better. You've still got so many changes to go through. Hold on in there! Xx

Re: boobie blues
aw hun we've all been there, and rest assured it WILL pass!
i just saw your avi on another thread, and i think they look so fab already for such an early post op stage, lovely shape!! and what a great change from before :)
i know what you mean about chickening out of a bigger size.. i was recommended a range of sizes and i eventually picked pretty much the smallest of that range, i had 265. could have gone up to 340 which i def didnt want, but then sometimes i end up thinking, i shouldnt have been too scared for the 295s...
anyway though, once you get to wear proper wired bras and you learn to dress them, they will be so much fun :) and your whole body feeling will change. just look at your avi!! :)
i had similar comments at the beginning, when i told a friend i'd had a boob job, he kind of just looked at my chest as if to say, so where are they?
i think when we tell people we're going to have a BA, they automatically have a katie price type image in their head. so anything that ends up smaller than that, they are just surprised.
but no one scrutinises our boobs as we do ourselves, so any changes are always much more visible to us than anyone else.
give it time, remember to take regular pictures, and the blues will pass.
at the 6 week stage, go and get measured at a bravissimo, and you will soon feel better :)
xx

I think they look amazing!!!!!! I would be over the moon with the size u have. I think people sometimes don't realise what it's like not having boobs and how hard it is to get to the point of having a BA & then actually doing it!!! xx

Re: boobie blues
Thank you ladies. I am a lot better today. All the doubts about the size have been erased since last night. The friend who made comments has natural DD-maybe she felt jealous like Lolo said?! Who knows....I felt really crap physically yesterday and just took comments into heart too easily.
Just got back from the first boobie outing in a cocktail dress for my 30th birthday dinner. I must say that even in Macom- the dress looked so much better with new boobs
Had only 1 glass of bubbly and stuck to water for the rest of the night. I felt tipsy enough on 1 glass- I'm sure some drugs are still circulating inside me..
Love you all- thank you for being here for me when I feel blue xxx

Re: boobie blues
Aw babe!! I'm so happy that you're feeling more chirpier and cheerful! Ahh well if your friend has DD boobs then of course she won't consider yours big because she already has big boobs! She is most probably jealous as her boobs won't be anything like as perky or as sexy as yours! She probably didn't mean to be negative but even so she shouldn't have said they're smaller than she thought they'd be.
Aw i'm so glad that you had a wonderful night and birthday dinner!! It sounds like you're recovering rapidly! I didn't go out for 2/3 weeks after my op! Well done!! I'm sure your boobies looked fantastic!
Big hugs!! Told you the boobie blues would pass ;) xxxxxx
