Packing my Suitacse
Ok girlies, when did you post op girls pack your suitcase?
I want to go packing mine now but is 8 days too soon?
I had a look at the wonderful list of things to take on the forum, is there anything else you girls took which wasn't on the list?
I think I've bought everything that I'm going to need - except some bottled lucozade and munchies for after op in case I don't want what they offer me :P which I will get the day before and stick in the car :)
What did you girls wish you took but didn't?
I know I'm going to forget something important like a toothbrush or something obvious :P
Just nerves and excitement kicking in.
thanks girlies xx

I went in and wanted to book straight away but they said I had to go away and think about it. Rang up 3 days later and said yes. Next avaliable date was the 19/2 so I said yes!!

I took my onesie to come home in. So easy to get on and soft and fluffy so it kept me warm :)
Remember to take change in case they had a drinks machine or something
I'm a leave it to the last minute kinda person so packed the night before. Rubbish I know x

Sahara - Ahh! I saw my surgeon at a open night and then saw 2 more surgeons before going back to my original surgeon :P I then booked it then and there and paid my deposit. he asked when I was looking for and said tomorrow is good for me ;) he said he had space in 2 weeks so I jumped... I knew this was what I wanted and he was my guy so why wait any longer :D
12 days will fly for you :) can't wait to hear how you get on :) xx
Lauren - I'm usually the same and leave everything to last minute but in regards to this, I've completely change personality lmao.. I went from a horrible saver and never plan anything to religiously saving every month the exact amount I aimed for and more along with planning everything :) I have lost track of the lists I have made :P
A onesie is a great idea, I actually don't own one at the moment (shocking I know) but I saw a very cute fluffy one in next the other week so I'm hoping it's still there now :P
change is a great idea, i never have change, always use my card so i don't notice how much i spend :P xx

Re: Packing my Suitacse
I made a list and packed my case a few days before, then I'd take it out and pack it again just to make sure I had everything.
Add a pillow to your list for the drive home, you place it over your boobs then put your seat belt on.
I'd make sure you take a dressing gown/slippers too. I had to walk down to the theatre and was so thankful for the dressing gown I took, it covered the lovely open back hospital gown and the slippers and gown were left just outside the theatre and given back to me on the way back up to my room.

Deodorant and def baby wipes specifically Johnsons extra protection aloe and willow herb cos nice smell and moistness! Btw I love that ur mum is on ur list, just below munchies and juice, lol! XxDi

Re: Packing my Suitacse
I say suitcase, its a mini one... :P yeah I re-read it back and it sounds dramatic ahaha!
Also yes greenbean - she is on my list but it wasn't in order.. she is my number 1.. she has to hold my hand when they put anything sharp and pointy in my veins.. lmao! total needlephobe... she talks to me while they do it about green elephants and such to take my mind off it and think about how crazy she sounds instead ^^ works every time :P
I shall remember the baby wipes as my house is full of them with the kids being sooo messy :P
I think I will take a change of clothes but I bet my vending machine money I stay in my pjs the whole time... any excuse :P
I also bought some new lip balm as I have been getting dry lips over the past few weeks with the cold and the weather and then the heat from the fire...
Think I've got it pretty much covered... will be sorting everything out tomorrow/today/when I wake up from actually going to sleep ^^
Thanks girls for the great comments :D xx
