Regular swelling post op? Empty Regular swelling post op?

Hi Ladies,

Sorry it's been a while, things have just been crazy since my BA. So thought I'd write a little post, I still haven't returned back to Zumba yet (I'm an instructor) but have been doing little bits here and there whilst my class is on to test the water and see what's still uncomfortable. I have by no means gone crazy or jumped but seem to keep getting swelling...it's usually when I stretch a little (either up or outwards) I had physio the other day and was told to do some exercise to help my previous shoulder injury, everything felt fine until a little while later and the pups swelled and went slightly hard.

Is this normal? I'm getting so frustrated as really want to get back into exercise but keep swelling and am so paranoid about CC it's unreal! I'm 10 weeks now and feel fine but this regular swelling is bothering me.

xxx

It sounds like your body is telling you it's too much slow down. Have you been back to the surgeon yet? Or do you have your 12wk booked? I would slow right down, stick to lower body until your appointment and talk to your surgeon about it. I know it's tough, but think of your boobs and your healing.

I couldnt run again until about 5/6m post. Just coz you're allowed, doesn't mean your body is ready for it yet. Slow down a bit, and maybe shop around for a different bra. Wearing 2 isn't ideal, and when you find the right one, it's amazing! I wear the Panache underwires sports bra.

Thanks Charlii I'll have a look I bought the shock absorber ultimate run which apparently is really good but stil feel like I needed extra support! Think I'll order that one to try! What's the sizing like? I find I have to go up a back size n down a cup in the shock absorber otherwise it cuts in to me xxx
