curious about drawings!!
Hi, girls!
I'm just curious as to why the surgeon draws on pen markings before the surgery? I could understand the markings if they spent tome measuring it all out accurately with a ruler and everything but mine literally scribbled on me in 2 seconds haha!! Do they actually use their drawings to help them operate in theatre? It just feels like they're dead innaccurate haha xxxx

I would have thought it would help with the placement of the implants?

It took 2 seconds for my surgeon too!
He drew near my bellybutton too. I guess it was 'accurate' to symmetry kinda...
ish.

Re: curious about drawings!!
I know! Surely they can't just follow their quick markings. I bet they properly measure when in theatre otherwise we'd all have odd boobs haha xxxx

Re: curious about drawings!!
They use it as a guide and mark whist in standing position as once lying down bloody position changes, breast crease etc can be less visible XXX

Re: curious about drawings!!
Hey,
I was measured at consultation but then on surgery day I only had about 7 little dots marked on me I think where the incisions were going to be plus one inbetween my boobs so he knew where the centre was. When I woke I noticed that they all had disappeared possibly the iodine cleaned it off (my surgeon did use a sharpie marker pen)

Re: curious about drawings!!
Mine literally took a couple of minutes to scrawl on me.... the centre line was wonky at the top, which worried my mum LOL.......
Then I had a line on my crease and where a new one would be and a curved line to show the top of the implant .....
Didn't seem all too technical lol.... Finally the pen is off...... Woop! Unless there's some hiding under my tape too.
