Re: Ouchy - oo- eeee
Morning boob is a killer! Except I had morning boob pretty much all day for about a week and a half! Sitting up is always awful, especially when you're trying so hard not to use your arms and chest muscles!
Don't worry babe.. the pain will most definitely pass and your boobs will begin feeling more attached on to you as every day passes.. at first mine felt like they were just being held on by glue but now they're a part of me and I no longer have the stiffness!
Good luck, honey!
Next time, don't have a drink before you go to bed ;) xxxx

Ooooo morning boob, I hated that part of the recovery. It only last for a few seconds but feels like heavy lead weights being engorged. I used to cross my arms hold onto them whilst I used my abs and bum shuffled up. X

Normal, that will be lovely Gleaming
Thanks mrsb I will see how tonight goes and keep that in mind, so far getting up i have been kinda rocking holding my knees to rock up onto my bum to sit (so felt like it was mostly tummy muscles working) then the bum shuffling begins!

Re: Ouchy - oo- eeee
Icepacks are miracle workers for morning boob ladies!
I found that the worst part if my recovery and suffered terribly with that. Like Charlii said, getting up and about as much as you feel able and for some that may only be a little walk around the house, for other like yourself Misszc, they're up to going out right from the get go. Just listen to your body and do be sure to rest when you feel you need it.
But icepacks really are incredible. Be sure not to put them near any incisions. Just over the tops of your boobs and it won't take long before you feel the relief. If you don't have icepacks, don't worry! A baggy if frozen peas/rice/corn will do, or anything really just as long as your comfortable. Better than any painkillers icepacks are

Morning girls!
Hope you had a good night krizzoo!
Quick question, how long roughly will we have to sleep on our backs for. I'm waking up in so much pain, my back, my bum hurts (tail bone) terribly and even my heels/ankles hurt as I have my knees up so pressure in my heels all night. Also woke up with a terrible headache this morning, hoping my painkillers will kick in soon! But if it's going to be quite a while before I can sleep comfortably again I'm thinking I should invest in some more pillows/cushions or something, but don't really wana spend the money if this is only gona last another few days/a week. Thanks girls! Xxx

Re: Ouchy - oo- eeee
Last night my bum (tail bone ) was better...
This is what I did:
I had 2 pillows, then V pillow then another pillow on top long ways.
I then had a pillow that I sat on. I had a plump cushion under my knees, so my feet were barely resting on the bed as it was very plump.
The cushion under my bum didn;t rid the ache but made it much more comfy.
I think we need to sleep on our backs until advised otherwise though...
Booo.
I guess I slept solid for 4 hours so still not normal but much better than the night before.
I hope that makes sense, I will try to take a photo of it and put here...
Not my bum (lol) my bed!
xx

Ah brilliant thanks!! Yeah that looks much more comfy! I'm gona get some extra pillows today then, hopefully that will help. Also I have to wear my stockings 24/7 and they're pretty uncomfy to sleep in, but only another 4 days of them xxx

Re: Ouchy - oo- eeee
Do you....I found my legs itching under them. I have removed today as I was told once back to good mobility I could take them off. So hope that is ok. Funny how we all have different advice from our surgeons...
You have been through more than the standard BA though... I hope you get comfier tonight! xx

Yeah it's funny how we all have different advice :-) I find they're pretty comfy during the day actually, but I took them of yesterday to wash them and put a new pair on, and OMG my skin was super smooth and soft! Lol xxx

Loving ur bed photo, K, mine v similar! I was told by ross hall nurse to wear anti dvt stockings for a week but i haven't cos i feel i am active enough and transform nurse never said. The bum/back pain is worse than any boob pain eh? XxDi

Re: Ouchy - oo- eeee
My tailbone bum gets numb. It is usually though. Sadly when I had Jacob (my first) I was left in the same position for sooo long in hospital I got a bed sore and it hasn't been the same since... Often a little numb.
