Re: Ouchy
Yes, taking paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine!!! Had a pocket revision and a nipple lift on one side. My swelling is really bad so I'm hoping once that's gone down I might be in less pain!?! Xx

Re: Ouchy
Definitely. The fluids and blood are right at the surface at the moment, which will contribute. Keep taking the painkillers, but take the paracetamol 2hrs after the codeine, so you're on alternate every 2, rather than whole shebang every 4. And only take ibuprofen if your surgeon said it's ok to, they're a blood thinner so can actually hinder healing in the first couple weeks. Take it easy.

Re: Ouchy
Thanks charli. All 3 meds came from spire yesterday so he knows I'm taking them. I'm taking them spaced out so that, as you say, I'll get longer pain relief from them. I could actually cry I'm in so much pain at the moment :-( which is not like me as I normally have a high pain threshold. X

Re: Ouchy
That's gravy then. Take the paracetamol with the. Codeine and the ibuprofen 2 later, that's the best combo. Also, get some ice packs or frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel across the tops, it'll help the pain and swelling. If it's still too much by day4, call the clinic and ask their advice, they may get you to take something stronger.

Re: Ouchy
I remember I was still uncomfy after a couple of days but not in pain as I was stuffing down the drugs!
I'm normally one who never takes anything and just rides it out but it's time I was adamant I was keeping it at bay as generally I like the pain feeling!
You're still early days and Charlii has great advice re meds, just take it steady and see how it goes. If you need more, ask.
Hope you feel better soon xx
