Starting to get nervous!
So I think the nerves are starting to kick in for tomorrow! I've just packed my bag and I think I have everything I need. The anesthetic part is scaring me most as I've never had an op before! And the one day I cant wear makeup, my skin is horrific! So embarrassing.
If anyone has any calming words please throw them my way! Haha xxx

Re: Starting to get nervous!
Oh hunny, you'll be fine, read through some of the surgery stories and think this will be me tomorrow
Don't worry about your skin hunny, a quick face scrub in the morning with a hot flannel will make your skin glow.
If you want some rosy cheeks instead of blusher just pinch your cheeks for a rosy glow
My husband had never had a ga until he had his shoulders done a couple of years ago. And he was nervous yet after he said he loved it!
You'll be asleep and awake before you know it! Trust me it feels like you've been asleep for litterly a few seconds and you wake up with boobs it's amazing!!! Xxx

Re: Starting to get nervous!
You're gonna be just fine
The last hours when you're all set and ready to go generally give time for the pre-op jitters to kick in.
There are a few ways to get yourself through this Lizzie... Maybe take a read through some of the stories women have left for us all to read in the stories section of the forum can be a HUGE pick me up! There's no better tonic than reading how happy everyone is after waking from their surgery and KNOWING that's going to be YOU tomorrow too!
Spend a little quality time on yourself tonight. If you're concerned about your face and no make-up (I think many if us go through this lol) take some time tonight to help get your face in great condition. A scrup, a deep cleanse a face mask and a nice relaxing CD and some me time (couple of cucumber slices on your eyes just to finish the job) and then nicely moisturised and feeling really tip-top and ready for tomorrow.
Your nails are another thing to help you feel good about yourself. Maybe give yourself a mini manicure and pedicure this evening, so you feel good about your bare nails tomorrow too.
A really nice pamper session is great from helping put the jitters aside, we girls LOVE that don't we.
And lastly.... Talking! If you're still feeling nervous, there's generally always someone around who would happy for a chat sweetie, so you're never once alone throughout this entire journey.
Its a great experience hun and these last hours really are the best! Xxx

Re: Starting to get nervous!
Don't worry babe! You'll be absolutely fine and you'll definitely love every minute!
I looked horrific in the morning, the only pride in my appearance I could take was by straightening my hair haha!
Anaesthetic sounds so scary.. just the word makes you think oh my god!! But trust me you won't know anything about it until it's all over! I personally loved my anaesthetic effects because I slept like a baby for a week after.. and that was useful because I needed to heal!
You will be fine!! ENJOY IT BABE AND GOOD LUCK!!!
xxxxxxxx

I wouldn't let I ever worry me again, you literally feel like your'e drifting off into a lovely cozy sleep and no sooner have you closed your eyes your'e being woken up in recovery.
Try to keep on top of your nerves and keep that excited feeling, this time tomorrow you'll have your fab new boobs! XXX

Re: Starting to get nervous!
Heya hun!!
Dw about the GA bit...id never had one i was nervous about being sick when i woke up....and how my mum would be, so i didnt let her come down with me. But in all honestly its a great feeling. I didnt feel the stuff going into my arm. Just a lil heavy headed (tispy feeling) then the oxygen came on. I was talking to the nurse n anethetist about glasses around 8.35 and then the next thing i knew....i was woken up at 10.10 but two nurses. Had some water? My eyes felt heavy? Was taken back to my room and waited for my mum and best friend. Had an amazng day eating and watchin tv....havent slept much today as i never sleep unless im.in my own bed.
Just sat waiting for 11am now......most sureal two days ever.
so honestly babe......just enjoy your day and take each step as it comes xx
