Feeling down and confused :(
Hey girlies! Had a consultation today with Mr. Seno at the hospital group.
It was my first consultation so wasn't really sure of what to expect him to say about what I'll need done. I had a feeling I'd need an uplift as my boobs are totally deflated after breastfeeding. Firstly I told him I'd like quite big implants if possible and I'd like to end up a 32 E/F cup roughly, he said he was sure this would be fine and then asked to have a look.
He examined me and then told me there was a few problems, apparently my skin has lost all elasticity and is in really bad condition after feeding and pregnancy and is quite thin so I wouldn't be able to have a very big implant due to rippling. (I was gutted!) he then said I need a full anchor uplift which I was a bit disappointed about (but I expected and I'm not fussed after looking at how good the scarring heals!) I was quoted £6095 for the naturelle implants.
He said the size he would recommend would be 375cc but could push it to 400cc as he knows I d prefer that. He said it would give me a max of a DD... I feel really gutted I wanted a bigger implant and I don't know what to think now. He said he would do it under the muscle due to rippling because of my skins condition but I don't get why I can have a bigger implant if it's behind the muscle, would it still ripple?
The other thing I was confused about is that my mum had 375cc and she's a 34e now and I'm narrower and smaller than her and he said a 400cc would only bring me to a max dd?
I have another consultation on the 23rd but I really don't know what to think now, do I just put up with them smaller even though I might be disappointed when they are done or is there anything me can do to avoid rippling?! I sound like a total wings moaner but I just wasn't expecting it and for the price I want to love my new boobies and them to be big!!!

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
I'm the same stats as you, I'm 5'4 size 8-10 and about 8st11 and I was an empty 34b after breast feeding, I had 245cc overs and I'm now 32 E or F depending on the shop, the ps said I'd be a D cup, I'm hoping I don't shrink any...I'm almost 7 weeks post op. It seems difficult to predict actual cup sizes tbh if I were you I'd concentrate on the cc you ps recommends for your frame. I had overs by the way and I have no rippling but I CAN feel the implants at the top and sides although they are not visible. Hope that helps xx

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Hiya.
I never discussed my ideal cup size with my surgeon - just the look I wanted to achieve. Tbh, I wasn't worried about the bra size, just to be comfortable in my skin again and line you had lost a lot of volume and upper pole fullness due to pregnancy and feeding.
When out of curiosity whether my pre baby bras would fit me again, I asked my surgeon what size he thought I might end up, he said DD and I thought - yep, that's the size I was before.. I actually measure FF/G! I had 325cc implants.
I read a lot on here that people with nearly identical stats and same size implants can end up very different sizes.
Are you having other consultations? Maybe a good idea to chat to other surgeons about the look you want to achieve and ask about profiles etc to see what they think. Try not to get too hung up on cup size...

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Rippling still happens under the muscle.. ignore your mum's result. Everybody's anatomy is different and the same size implants even on similiar sized girls can give very different results! So ignore that. You already need a lift, and the bigger you go, the higher the risk of complications, bottoming out, rippling and earlier sagging. x

Thanks ladies! So strange that the same implant can end up so many different sizes! Really hope I end up big like you ladies! I had a look at the implant and it didnt look that big haha I'll have to see what James McDiarmid says he recommends. Totally confused about the rippling though I didn't realise you could still have rippling when under the muscle! Xxx

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
hi please dont be disheartened, I know its hard not too
I wasnted something in the 400s and I had 420cc in my head but no surgeon said over 380cc and one even said 240cc!! but then I found my surgeon and he said to go for 340cc I said but I have been told by others I can have 380cc and he said that they would never fitm in the end for the look I wanted he said said 340cc HP but the sound of HP really scared be so he said ok 360cc MP but I got him to take the 380cc MP to theatre too
He tried the 380cc sizers and there was no way they were fitting and the 360cc was a tight squeeze
Anyway I went from having nothing and Im now in a 32e/f bra, however from my avi you can see im not huge, but a nice size and yes I want to be bigger and I even had the chance to go bigger in my recent reop but I decided that i was best to sort the problems I had out first
Also I have unders and I have slgith rippling, cant see it but can def see it xx

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Different sized implants will end up with different sized cups on everyone. And the surgeon will never be 100% spot on with the size. Mine said my 340s would take me to a nice full C...She says wearing a 32E. You need to focus on the look, not the cupsize.
Rippling can occur with any implant. Its true its less likely with unders, but you're never free from complications, it can happen at any time, and the bigger the implant, the bigger the risks.
Best advise I can give is to keep getting consultations, and get a majority idea of whats right/best for you.

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
My skin sounds just like yours, No elasticity , stretched. I thought I may need an uplift but apparently not. I am having 380unders next week. Hope my skins copes with it! Cookie had a FAB diagram of ptosis I think I have found the link for the same image:

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Don't be disheartened. I was massively confused after my first couple of consultations as was told unders and then overs for various different reasons and a huge variety of sizes were suggested too.
Ignore cupsizes, these are all about perceptions. I was told to expect a full D and here I am wearing a 30F.
Get lots of advice, have plenty of consultations and take your time making a decision.
It's in your surgeons' best interest to recommend what's suitable for you and your body. You need to feel comfortable and they wouldn't suggest something that would hurt you or their reputation.x

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Thankyou ladies! Feeling a bit more open minded now!
Was just hoping for a breast size on the bigger scale but I suppose I can't really do anything about going bigger than 400cc due to my skins condition, hopefully like some of you ladies I'll end up big anyway :)
Will let you all know how I get on, on the 23rd.
Thanks again for all your advice and support! Xxxx

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
you might very well still get breasts bigger than what you expect with implants less than 400cc
bare in mind that if the surgeon thinks that bigger implants will mean more risks they just wont risk it xx

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Sorry to hear your disappointed with your consultation! 400cc is a decent sized implant and should get you a nice result minimising the risk of complications with your uplift. The PS like a lot of us maybe have a different perception of cup sizes that's why it's always better to have pics of the look you are after when going for consultations.
Rippling can occur in unders as well as overs as the muscle doesn't completely cover the implant, but does disguise the top half of the implant where skin and natural breast tissue is thin.
Do have lots of consultations until you are confident you have found a surgeon who can get you the best possible results!
Also have a good read through the Breast uplift section on here ,there are lots of ladies who have amazing results and can maybe offer you advice.
Good luck with your consultations and try to get that excited feeling back buy thinking of the amazing boobs waiting for you at the end of your journey! XXX

I'm not having a good day with this iPad....doh!
Meant to say that the PS perception of a DD may just be the larger size that you have in your head and are after! XXX

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Thanks for your comments lovelies!
Tinkerbell he said he would put in bigger implants if I really wanted but that would be going against his advice and would give me rippling. I've taken his advice as I don't want bad rippling just because of having the bigger implant and want the best end result I can get especially with the uplift!
Thanks for your kind and helpful words mirren! I'll have a read through the uplift section! I'm hoping I'll get that 'he's the one' feeling at my next consultation! Your boobs in your pic look amazing I'd be more than happy with those!! Haha! What are your pre op stats? if you don't mind me asking? I think I was just a bit surprised at the price and type of uplift I needed it all felt real when I was in there even though I was expecting to hear it really!
Thanks again girlies xxx

Re: Feeling down and confused :(
Hiya, sorry I can't be of help on my pre op stats as I never ever got fitted for a bra as I was really flat chested and too embarrassed to!..lol . I just used to buy a 34b and stuff it with the biggest chicken fillets I could find, since my op and have been properly fitted I am now wearing a 30 E/F depending on bra and the chicken fillets have been long binned!
Your going to get an amazing result from your op as having an uplift your ps will put everything back to where was pre babies. Keep focused on nice perky boobs even if it means maybe having to save a little longer for them! XXX
