3 weeks... Removing tape for first time! Empty 3 weeks... Removing tape for first time!

So I have to remove tape at 3 weeks. Then put new on and change every couple days for another 9 weeks. 

Is 3 weeks tomorrow, tue? (Had my BA on wed AM) or is 3 weeks this Wed? Stoopid Q I know! Lol

K thanks. But although my ticker says I'm 19 days post op. I say 20. Cos I had boobs on my op date!?!

It's 19 days since your boobs Hun as the day you had them they'd only be a few hours old so take the next day as day 1. 

So be Wednesday Hun for tape change x

it can be stingly when they are coming off and after it mine felt tingly and bruised too xx

It'll be fine hunny, do it after a shower when the skin and tape is wet comes off a lot easier , have your shower/shallow bath dry your scars througly with a hairdryer on a cool setting then re apply fresh tape. X

that might be some of the gunk, like the oozing blood etc from day one, mine felt like that but you seen my instagram pic they looked really good, remember nice and slowly dont want to pull hard and burst the wound xx

oh yeah if your allowed to shower do that

I wasnt allowed to shower when mine came off so they were right sticky lol xx

I just wondered how you got on with this lovely?
I am seeing the nurse on Thursday to remove tape and replace with waterproof one (I think anyway for further 4 wks)

Hiya, was ok kriz. I removed them myself (they were waterproof though). I changed my own tapes since that every couple of days. But for a week now I haven't had an tapes on. Mr H said leave them off for a couple of weeks so I can massage scars more often. The tapes were leaving my skin bright red too. 

Hope your app with nurse goes well. Hope you're doing ok too? X

Ah it's fine. I had a long shower to soak them and took them off while in the shower, hubby helped as I was scared too. But all was fine. Promise you it'll be ok xx

I assumed the tape would be removed by a nurse the first time!! Now feeling eww and scared!

Depends on the surgeon. I did my own. From my op date I don't see anyone until 3 months. I've had many phone calls, emails and a skype since though x

I must admit.. I'm not too Squeamish, but had to get hubby to take them off, I was scared of what was under!! Was all fine though x

I'm currently doing this routine, babe, haha :)
At first I thought it was a big chore to do it as I didn't want to be tearing tape off my incisions all the time but now it's just normal for me haha. It's supposed to improve the healing and appearance of the scars and, so far, it's doing just that! My scars look fab and it's all thanks to this tape and my amazing surgeon :)
