Day 9 painful lefty
Hey everyone! I hope you're all well!
So I think my right has dropped.. If that's supposed to happen yet or not? It's still tender my but right is still high and is a lot more painful. Around my side boob is the worse it is just awful and stiff :(
I can't remember if my right felt the same but has just stopped so I'm feeling the left more so now (too much co codomol lol) or whether it's because I've been driving and went to work?
I just don't know what to do. I'm so paranoid I'm going to harm them I've even had a nightmare about it haha
As always thanks everyone! Xx

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
You probably suffered a little more trauma on the side that's causing you more discomfort. This is normal for the majority of us babe.
The one that suffered a little more trauma getting that implant in will generally take a little longer to heal and this will explain the swelling you have to the sides babe.
Wonky boobs are also VERY normal. You didn't have one op hun, you had two, one on each breast and they will each heal in their own good time, so wonky boobs with one breast starting to drop before the other is VERY common and at 9 days post-op hun you still have MANY changes ahead of of you and I'm not talking in weeks babe. This take months of healing.
But everything you describes all sounds very normal Ash. You'll also experience more swelling if you overdo it too, so best to be aware of that also. Xx

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
Thank you girls :)
Do you think trying a different bra may help? My surgeon told me I don't need to wear a bra all the time but I don't think he meant falling asleep without one on on the sofa
Again, thanks for you help, I'm really down about it at the moment so it's nice to know it is all normal :)
Toni, I hope you're doing well, I've been following your post the closest for some reason lol x

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
Sounds like you have the booby blues Ash It comes to the majority of us eventually when everything just comes from a negative place. Its not what you want, but you just don't seem to be able to clear your head space of it... It WILL get better hun.
If your surgeons said you don't need to be wearing a bra all the time, he's probably meant you can pop one on if you're going out somewhere to cover your modesty lol... But I wouldn't worry about falling asleep on the sofa without one on if your surgeon doesn't require you to wear one.
You're doing great Ash. You're not harming your boobs, you're doing everything your surgeon has told you to do... If you find your boobs are really aching beyond the point you're able to cope, then give your surgeon a call and ask if you can wear a sportsbra to give them some support. Its best not to put one on all the time against your surgeons advise lovely. Xx

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
He had a very 'go with when you want to wear one' attitude if that makes sense lol.
I'm just so sore and it's really getting to me :( x

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
If you feel more comfortable with the support of your bra and your surgeons fine with that Ash, then just do what makes you feel most comfortable sweetheart. Xx
Re: Day 9 painful lefty

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
Probably not as much as I should be.
I called the on call nurse to get added reassurance, how annoying am I hahaha. See too said it was all normal and to make sure my bra fits well.
Thanks once again :) x

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
hey
i rang the nurse yesterday too as it was sooo painful and i she rang the surgeon.
as long as it is not red, inflamed and oozing anything we are fine!!
dont worry as i am going through the exact same babes and after all it is a huge op and you are just over a week post op. it will help alot if you wear a bra chick.
take care of yourself

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
try set an alarm for the painkillers you will be much more comfortable on them
pfft I called my surgeon text him emailed hiim lol all the time still do but I paid good money for aftercare lol
I once emailed my surgeon and asked if having a drink would ruin my boobs and he said something along the lines of only if I get drunk and fall on them, I was also that sore day 3 or 4 I think I called him late at night and told hime to get me back in theatre and get these implants out me . you have aftercare for a reason and if its just to get reassuarance on a phone call then use it girls xx

Re: Day 9 painful lefty
alot of girls have their surgeons email address
I cant get my surgeon through the hospital I orignally went with cause he no longers works from there, but he is more than happy to give me his details as I dont call him outwith work hours, well most the time lol, nah I mail him and then he calls me
Im sure that if you asked, your surgeon will have a direct email address
but there was a time when I would get a call off him at the beginning of the week to see how things were going but that was after we realised there was a few probs and he had showed me house to massage etc so he was looking for updates xx

You can email your surgeon if you'd like to Karen. His email is public information over the Internet.misskaren wrote:true - we have paid money after all
