Painful Lefty Empty Painful Lefty

Post by Charlii 1st August 2013, 8:10 am

Hey gals. I've been having some issues with lefty recently. Its still a bit higher and a bit wider and not quite as soft as righty, but thats fine, I know thats all normal. About 2-3wks ago though I started getting morning boob in it again, not quite as bad as the initial weeks, but still pretty painful, then with a dull ache underneath through the day. I put it down to it just needs more healing. Then about a week ago, I was lying on my back in bed and went to shift my weight onto the left side. Something stretched, or snapped, or pulled, Im not sure, but it ruddy hurt and left me in tears. I spoke to my nurse and she said it sounds like Ive pulled a muscle, take some painkillers and dont overdo things. However the pain has been getting worse, especially if Ive been lying down for anything over 10mins, getting up is really sore. If you were to look at my nip, the pain is radiating about 1cm down from 3oclock to 7/8oclock (!), but its underneath the implant. Could I have pulled it away from the pocket or scar tissue?

Hubby says I should go and see my surgeon, but they look and feel fine, no tighness, hardness, other signs of complications, just the pain under the implant. If I see him now, I think he'll just have a feel, say Im over-reacting and to slow down and let it heal. Im currently at 8.5wks, so Im seeing him in 3-4wks anyway for 3mth check up.

Any thoughts on what I could do? Im wearing my shock absorber to bed everynight, and Ive got some Triactions on the way. Should I maybe be wearing my binder to bed to keep things more in place? It just all feels like a huge step backwards. I know theyre nowhere near done, but I did think all the pains and aches would be easing off now, not getting worse!

Painful Lefty Empty Re: Painful Lefty

The more stability you give your breast Charlii, the quicker it will heal babe. If the shock absorbers are supporting your boobs and keeping them stable more so than the Macom you're wearing of a day then do keep the ShockAbsorber on.

Sometimes after a pull we just set our healing back that little bit, but giving the boob stability and a chance to heal will sort it out for you hun. If it hasn't settled by next week then maybe go and see your surgeon hun, but I doubt very much its any other than a pulled muscle as the nurse suggested babe. Xx
