Pre op appointment...
Sorry for all the questions girls, last one I promise! :-)
But wanted to ask, what is the pre-op app. I've read loads of girls saying they're "going for their pre-op appointment", is that the consultation or something more important. I haven't been offered one, only ha my consultation, should I be worried. Thanks girls xxx

Re: Pre op appointment...
No the pre op is what we all have as a way to finalise that you are fit for surgery..
Normally you have to fill out a medical questionnaire with a nurse, be weighed, check blood pressure etc.. All the normal things just to ensure all is ok to go ahead. Nothing to worry about at all.. And then your ready to go!! :) it only takes about 20 mins... Oh and they might take pictures of your boobs currently for file xx

I'm the same as Jen. I don't think Mr Hassan does a pre op appointment as I just got sent my medical questionnaire too. Don't worry, you're in good hands. Mr Hassan is lovely x

Re: Pre op appointment...
I had a phone call from the hostpital 48hrs before to confirm my details and next of kin. Then my 'pre op' was on the day before my surgery. BP, height, weight, allergies etc. I think it depends on the company, some do it beforehand, some on the day.

Re: Pre op appointment...
That's strange you haven't had one to check you're fit for surgery, your blood pressure, medical history etc x

Re: Pre op appointment...
I think they only take blood if they see a reason to such as if you work in a hospital and you could have mrsa etc xx

Re: Pre op appointment...
Don't worry if you're not asked for pre-op bgorrringe, if you're fit and healthy then sometimes surgeons feel there's no need for one.
If you have any medical conditions though it is important you do have one to ensure you're well enough for surgery. Xx

Great thanks girls! Maybe he'll do it all on the day, I have to be there at 8 for surgery at 9, so maybe he's planning to fit it in then. But like you said cookie, maybe he doesn't think it's necessary at all anyway xx
