Burst implant? Empty Burst implant?

Post by Lydia2708 8th December 2013, 12:15 am

Sorry to write such a worrying post but I literally can't sleep now and I don't know if I'm just going nuts but two nights ago I lay down in bed myself as my mom had been helping me whilst she was here. As I lay down the left side sounded like a little pop then I heard bubble noises and that side is now quite soft compared to the right side which feels like a bowling ball! My mom said that lying down normally on your back cannot make that happen but I feel like i'm going to rip my hair outif I don't talk to anyone about it. I have my check up on Monday aswell so I know I can find out then.. Am I being stupid? X

Its just fluid and air that's in the breast picket from your surgery babe. Absolutely normal and nothing at all to worry about. They can make all kinds of noises besides popping ones, like gurgling and even 'farting' ones! Hahaha. Your body will naturally drain this itself babes, so don't worry about it at all

You're absolutely fine babe and your implants will NEVER burst. No implants at all have ever been known to 'burst' babe, so you can sleep soundly knowing that.

Implants can rupture, but this either happens for an unknown reason and is called a 'silent rupture' because its a rupture that's hapoened and you won't even be aware of it unless you had an MRI, or it could be ruptured by a VERY, VERY hard impact hun.

Surgeons have been known to actually run breast implants over in their cars to see just how robust they are and they were all intact! So you've nothing at all to worry about Lydia. Xx

Are you right handed? If you're using that side more you may find you have more swelling on that side, hence it'll feel hard because its so swollen hun. Xx

It really is one big roller coaster isn't it hun. I don't know of a single one of us who hasn't had our ups and downs through recovery, so yeah... Post away babe. Those of us on the other side of recovery can all empathise and those going through or even pre-oppers will probably appreciate reading the updates and the questions if you have any hun. Xx

Its not silly at all love, there is no such thing as a silly question in my eyes! Its just a bit of farty boobs. About week 2, everytime I lifted my arms they parped! The air bubbles will eventually dissipate into your body, perfectly normal.

Aww hunny, no question is ever silly.

You can get the surgeons advise and expertise on implants and the procedure, however the untold recovery is something a lot of ladies including myself at 1st ba unless you've been through don't really know what to expect or what's normal .

I had no clue or anything about recovery 1st ba and EVERYTHING was new and totally unexpected. Everything from morning boob to the electric shocks. !

So don't ever feel silly it's what were here for Hug

Aww glad you're feeling better, I only knew about the farting boobs from on here so when it happened my step dad and I burst out laughing instead of freaking out which is what I would have done if I hadn't have known!
