Sports bra band size
Sorry I'm pecking today xx
I'm trying to buy a sports bra - going to guess size, because docs not given me one yet but if it's right then great if not, then doesn't matter.
Anyway I'm guessing I'll need F cup but the band is starting from 34??? Will my new boobs give me a new band size? I'm 29-30 at the minute?? I hope this makes sense xxx

Re: Sports bra band size
If you're measuring 29-30 under bust you'd be a 30 band babe. But I'd buy a 30 and a 32.
Always buy bra expanders also when you buy a back fastener so that if the band is tight due to swelling you can use the expanders to see you through making the band bigger and then take the expander off after the swelling reduces and then you're able to use the bra after as well instead of having to buy lots of bras. Xx

Great! Thanks so much babe! Xx when I buy a extender, will it work on all sports bras, or just one type? I'm oblivious to this, didn't even know there was such a thing. Thank god for this forum xx

It will work any 'back fastening' bra that you buy. But not at all on the 'front fasteners' such as the M&S front fastener or the Macom. Xx
Re: Sports bra band size
Just spoke with docs secretary and she's told me not to waste money on high impact sports bra when I can get them from Asda for four pound? She said I will just need it for additional support as my breasts will be wrapped up anyway.... Now I feel confused and I do want the best but don't know which to buy now!! I need to stop thinking I know better and just go with surgeons advice lol

I personally think that advice isn't great because the cheap ones from asda do not offer nearly enough support... It's always recommended to wear a high impact sports bra... I think when your spending so much on boobs it's important to give them the right level of support so a 4 pound bra is not what the new baby's deserve!! Xx

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. I rang her up to see if she could give me a rough size so I could start buying them. I mentioned the shock absorber and she said no, don't buy anything like that, you'll have you boobs wrapped so it's only for additional support? I think I will just get the good ones. Thanks for that babe xx

Re: Sports bra band size
Get the good quality ones Boney. Asda ones are fine at first and feel like they offer great support, but after a few washes they're like wearing a comfort bra rather then a support bra - there's no support left in them!
So its worth paying the extra babe for a bra that's going to support you through your entire recovery and not just for the first week. Xx

To see what your opinion was on the Asda sports bras. Don't feel worried about what to do now you've had your say
