Re: Being measured.
6 weeks is usually a good starting point all though you may still d&f after that and have to go up in sizes later.
A lot of the places that offer that service use an incorrect method of adding ins on to your back band, it makes your bra unsupportive so you're better off to do it yourself!
Take your underbust and fullest part of the bust measurement and put them in to the online calculator on a sophisticated pair, you'll get your true size and your sister sizes from there :)
Happy bra shopping x

You can go and get fitted generally when your surgeon says you can now treat your new boobs as you would your own hun.
At 4 weeks post-op if you've been Given the all clear for a fitting it would be very advisable not to go mad. Just buy what you need and that's it, because chances are your boobs are going to continue changing and may well fill out further so if you go mad bra buying now, 2 months from now you could find yourself chucking more bras away because they're just too small for you.
In general women get the all clear at 6 weeks post-op, but again, changes still occur - the longest we've had for a lady to fluff here is 9 months post-op and its not unusual to fluff twice throughout the recovery process either. So being so early I would be very careful to only buy what you need for now if you need any bras right now at all... I'd personally wait for the sales which generally start mid November, early December and get yourself some bargains babe.
I fluffed at 10 weeks post-op and that was it for me, I've not changed size since, so at four weeks post-op I'd say you still have a high chance of some fluffing going on hun.
Be sure you also use a reputable fitting service such as Bravissimo. Any measuring system is just pants and has had women in the wrong sized bras for years babe. Xx

Re: Being measured.
It differs from women to woman on to when they are allowed to be in wires so follow your own instructions but it's normally around the 6 week mark...
However don't spend much at all as this will change over the coming months!
I got measured at 6 weeks and then I've gone back at ten weeks and already am feeling snug in my first measurements!
Like cookie said make sure you go to a good place to get fitted as places as m&s, la senza and online calculators are awful! Bravissimo is where we all recommend but hold back on the buying lol xx

I waited until about 8 weeks I think and I would certainly recommend bravissimo... They are great! X

Re: Being measured.
And one other tip for when your getting fitted in the future... Know what band size you are eg 30,32 as I'm a 32 and m&s measured me at a 36 which is obviously very wrong! :) in some shops I'm a 30 band as there isn't a universal size which can be annoying but at least I knew the woman from m&s was really bad at fitting using the +4 method xx

Re: Being measured.
I have been told six weeks by my surgeon to have underwire etc so wasn't going to buy anything till then (bought a shock absorber).
Now I'm going to sound like a right dingus but will I really get bigger? I was a 32 b (empty) before had 300cc overs low profile?!
This website has been amazing as I am so thick about all this stuff! Xx

Re: Being measured.
I wouldn't trust M&S as had such awful customer service from them and wrong sizing before my surgery.
Plan to go back to selfridges when I'm allowed as the women In there was amazing and really knew what she was talking about xx

Re: Being measured.
I'd wait for the sales now Geb. Chances are anything you buy now will be half price in a few weeks and your boobs too will have had a little more time to mature by then.
Your choice of course babe, just thought I'd suggest it Xx

Re: Being measured.
Yes it is a possibility you will get bigger!! As your muscle loosens and relaxes your implant is going to drop into its pocket that was created for it... Then you will fluff which basically is the implant filling out that pocket and here is where women normally go up a cup size as the breast forms a more natural shape as you've lost some of the upper pole and have more nearer the bottom of the breast.. It's not a guarantee but it's very likely! :) xx

Re: Being measured.
The first time I got measured at around 6 weeks I was a 32E... Now I'm finding I'm bursting out of it a little at ten weeks so I'm going to get measured again nearer to Xmas before I start buying new sets! Xx

Re: Being measured.
What size did you want?! I would be very happy with that! The first surgeon I was originally booked yo have surgery with said I could go bigger than 300cc and I would never have a cleavage also said I had to have unders! He was so wrong pleased it got cancelled in the end even if they did charge me £250!!
