Just took my binder off to have a look and down the centre between my breasts is still very swollen. I gently moved my finger up and could feel popping and crackling under my finger which I could move around the top of my chest. What on earth is it and is it normal? I'm 5 days post op

I had a lot of this to and was terrified.
Don't worry, I was told it was excess air and fluids. Your body will fix this naturally.
It took me about 3 weeks until everything was gone.

It's normal, the sound is air absorbing into your body... It goes soon but the name we give it is farting boobs!
The swelling takes a while to go down but don't worry it will :) XX

It's swelling between the sternum hunny. It's totally normal in fact some women get it as bad as a tent effect between their breasts early on x

I don't have popping but hear its very common I have what feels like a small insect creeping about in my left boobie! Really weird sensation of something moving inside! I'm 5 days post op too. Hoping the surgeon didn't leave his pet mouse in there or something!!

Absolutely fine hun. The swelling will take a couple of weeks to go down. I was convinced that my chest wall was going to come away and give me a monoboob, but its just the swelling. And the air bubbles is also fine, just a bit of farty boob! Theyll move around and eventually dissapate into your body, perfectly harmless
