uneven nipples
Hey,
I'm nearly three weeks post op and on day 11 I noticed my left boob had dropped, today I looked in the mirror and my left nipple is higher than my right ( put ruler across the two and not level)
I am worried that it has bottomed out????? I haven't got any more check up appointments with my surgeon but the hospital have said if I need to see him I can, going to try and wait til six weeks before seeing him to see if they'll even themselves out.
What are the signs of bottoming out????
Any help/ advice

Re: uneven nipples
Aww try not to worry yet rach, our boobs are always changing right up to the 6 month mark really and what your seeing now isn't the final result, they will heal and move at different rates ... Give it a while longer and if they are still uneven a few weeks on then book in to see your surgeon...
I havnt seen any boobs that have bottomed out but it would look very bottom heavy and a different look to the other breast... I don't think it will be this though as you have a great surgeon and have so much healing to do which won't happen at the same time... Try not to worry yet rach as unevenness is normal
Hope other than that your doing well xxxx

Re: uneven nipples
From what I understand, you'd know if you had bottomed out, and it's highly unlikely you have. I think it looks like when you have double boob from a too small bra, but in the under breast. Very obvious.
Uneven nipple this early is most likely due to one of your boobs having dropped more than the other. This is fine, they'll even out eventually, it can take 3-6m, maybe more. Plus don't forget it's going to be an exaggerated version of what you had previously, so if they weren't 100% level before, the won't be now.

Re: uneven nipples
You're so early post op hunny, I would te cen be measuring nipple evenness at the moment. They will change so much in the next few months
I bottomed out 2nd ba and I could tell , the nipple sat on top of my breast mound and it was all implant underneath and was a very odd shape. And the insision was on my boob a few inches up.
Your breasts will never be identical Hun and every woman has a slight difference in breasts. Once things settle and they both drop and fluff you'll see better symmetry however they will never be indentical hunny.m

Hey tinkerbell
At my review/ dressings removed my surgeon said he didn't want to see me agian ( unless it was for other surgery) but if I'm worried about anything I can ring the hospital and make an appointment to see him.
Also I think he's confident I won't get any problems/complications who knows what may happen.

Re: uneven nipples
I was pretty uneven up until recently but now seem to have evened out. I was convinced I was going to have a problem but patience paid off. I am still early days tho, so expecting changes for a while as yet.
Best thing to do - easier said than done - is to try and stop studying them for a week or so. I decided to avoid the close mirror inspection for a bit shortly after surgery as it just made me anxious thinking they would always be uneven. After a few weeks they started to look better. It was like a little game! Again I would not look too closely for a week or so, then again, I saw positive changes.

Re: uneven nipples
Hey,
When I had my dressings off I didn't want to look at the incisions but when my surgeon had a smile on his face I had a look and saw that they had healed very well ( think all the gym and eating loads of
protein in the weeks leading up to op helped).
The thing is when I wear my white macom there's no way of getting around not looking as it's kinda see through but my sports bra isn't so I might wear that the next few days/weeks til I can get into underwired bras (end of nov!!! ).

They'll change so much darlin, I know its easy to panic but try not too........it'll all just take time xxx
