Re: Very old implants
I'm more nervous than before. 22 years older and really love my old boobs. Got to be done though. Fingers crossed it all goes ok.

Re: Very old implants
All done. In and out in 6 hrs. Pain nothing like before. No increase on size so pocket didn't need to be made bigger. No tightness as yet. Just strapped up, no sports bra yet. Feel ok. Bit drugged up on morphine but so far so good. Thank you all for your support. More updates soon xx

Re: Very old implants
Boobs are looking good. Size is the same as before. Bit firmer though. I had a reaction to the strapping and now I'm covered in red blotches and itch like crazy but hopefully it'll settle soon. Very pleased so far with result. Let's hope these ones last another 22 years

Re: Very old implants
Just an update to say my new boobs are looking good. Bit uneven but I am 50 so by body isn't perfect. My hubby says the scars are amazing, very neat. Still feel a bit weird but over all worth the money. Fingers crossed these last another 22 years

Re: Very old implants
Seen consultant for final visit. All good. Back in normal bras thank goodness. Scars brilliant. Same size as I was before so just feels like I've been through all this to get back to where I was. But no rupture. Looking forward to the next 22 years!

Re: Very old implants
Had a bra fitting on Friday just for my info. Gone up 2 cup sizes, now a 36E! Got loads of lovely new bras. Looking for a charity now to take my old bras to Africa for the girls out there. Anyone know of one?

A good cause Lyn! If you google Oxfam big bra hunt you'll find info on where to hand your bras in & what happens with them.XXX

Re: Very old implants
I've looked at all the websites for donating old bras. They all send them off for recycling to raise money. I want to actually send them to women who need them. I've heard of one lady who goes to Uganda once a year to help in hospitals etc. she takes them with her, so it think I'll hang onto them and give them to her. Unless I find somewhere else who takes them
