Re: December Buddies
Hello, how are all the December girlies doing??
I am finally getting back in the land of the living! The last week or so has been horrendous, with me and the girls sick - and hospital appointments for both my girls. My 3 year old was born with a cataract in her eye, which they think they may need to remove as her sight is being impacted. My 11month old has a hole in her heart - which we've been hoping will close, but they now want to operate in the new year. I have to admit, it's all been a bit overwhelming, and the thought of my surgery (which i've chosen to do!) has seemed like an unnecessary hassle with everything else we've got to deal with. I've contemplated calling the whole thing off
However, i've woken up this morning with renewed positivity! I'm feeling much better health wise, and my two little angels are over their colds and excited for Xmas. I'm determined to start thinking positively about my Op again...and we will face the challenges of next year when they arise.
How are you Post Oppers doing with your recovery? What do you new boobies feel like, are they feeling more your own yet? Any hints and tips for me in terms of what to pack / what to expect post op?? xx

Re: December Buddies
Aw MissC I was thinking about you this morning so good to hear you're getting back on track, omg 5 days to go, time to get that excitement building again. You're a strong woman and you'll continue to cope with whatever life throws at you, I'm so happy for you that you're going for your op, seriously you're totally going to love yourself, lol.
My recovery's going great so far, today & tomorrow are meant to be worst days, but honestly I'm too happy to imagine getting post op blues, I've got a constant grin on my face, ha maybe I'm still high from GA and day 3 for me will be day 10, lol.
Swelling's a bit uncomfy and unsettling but because we've researched so much on here beforehand it really helps you recognise every twinge etc.
Sleeping's not going too good yet for me, I tried the 'Pillow Fort' last night, lol I nearly smothered my hubby with them, he was sleeping so soundly and I was jealous at 3am this morning faffing around with about 10 pillows.I did get a few hours sleep so not too bad, I never got a v pillow as I thought i'll just work with all the pillows i have, but hubby's going to get me 1 today and i'll try again tonight, I've almost cracked it and can imagine I will with the v pillow.
Best advice I can give is drink loooads of water, from the minute you can once awake from GA, I've managed to avoid the constipation Prettylil got, from her advice to drink loads, I've been drinking 2 - 3 litres per day consistently and trying to eat really healthily.x

Re: December Buddies
Thanks honey. I'm so pleased you are happy and recovering well. To be honest, i'm not worried about the operation - it's the swelling and the paranoia about all the aches and pains that follows! It's so reassuring to hear you girls doing so well.
I am not very good about drinking water, but am going to start stocking up like a camel :0)
Have you shown your hubby your boobs yet? I got my letter today confirming my 1 week post op appointment, i bet that's a real milestone...dressings off :0) xxx

Hey Senora, it's so easy to overdo it, I keep stretching for things and forgetting I can't yet.
MissC not showed him yet, got my Mum to take my post op pics, I get my dressings off off Mon, I'm hoping he'll want a peak then, i'll just run down the street topless, lol, then he'll need to see them.x

Senora 'Got a slap'.i'm dying to show him. I've got incredible nipple sensation, before my op honestly you could put jump leads on my nips and I wouldn't bat an eyelid, but the slightest brush against them past day is giving me tingles

Sorry again Mrs_B-24, been one of those weeks!Mrs_B_24 wrote:Hi Jen, your day is so close now, are you excited? What size are you going for? They are very tight at the mo, keep having to put ice packs on the right one in particular, looking forward to the swelling subsiding so I can get an idea of how there guna look but think that'll be a few weeks yet. Xx
Had to come home today as my hubs nan has taken poorly and so hubs rents (parents) have to go see to her. So no one to mind the boys. I think she's gonna be ok, but will need 24 hour care now. She is 95! So not done bad!
Anyway. Yes I am excited!!! Very. I'm going to have 425cc anatomical rounds. unders :)
Hope your swelling is going down a bit. Can imagine icepacks being a bit uncomfy!! x
