Re: December Buddies
You girls never fail to amuse!! Haha :) I was just about to ask about drinking but then thought I'd check on the Dec sticky first to see how everyone was doing and voila! My question has been answered :D I'm not normally too big on drinking but now I know I can't drink for a while it's making me want one so bad!! xx

Re: December Buddies
Aw fab May, oh I can't wait to get all my strapping off, I'm starting to itch a little bit today.
Woohoo 8 days Jordan,5 days Jen & I believe it's only 4 days for our very own MissC, whoever I've missed soz. I had my girls Xmas night out 30th Nov 9 days before my op and I checked at my pre op if it was ok to drink, I was told yeah, so I ran with that. I also had my works Xmas dinner on 4th Dec 5 days before op and I has a couple of glasses of wine then too. But that was only going on asking advice first what was ok for me. I'm planning my 1st wee beverage to wet the pups head on Xmas day.x

Eeek - i can't believe i'm Tuesday. My only instruction regarding alcohol is not to drink for 24hrs prior to surgery?!
Feeling semi ready for the big day, just ordered a big food shop to arrive on Sunday. Lots of soups and easy dinners for the kids and hubby. It's my daughter's first birthday today, so we're having a big family party tomorrow...may have a cheeky glass of wine xx

I'm feeling strangely numb, not nervous but not excited either....not sure if that's normal?!
I think it will hit me on monday when i pack my hospital bag and book my taxi. I need to be at the hospital for 7am, so i rekon the nerves will kick in monday night!! xx

I was like that, I didn't sleep much on the fri night but can't say I was overly thinking of op, hopefully you'll be in early if you've got to be there for 7, as soon as your there they get you settled in your room then nurse will be in surgeon etc and you won't have time to think about to much, except getting the paper knickers on lol

Re: December Buddies
Aw Happy 1st Birthday to your Baba MissC, I felt same few days before, quite numb and not really feeling anything, the excitement kicked in again a couple of days before op. Fab you'll be so busy this weekend, oh I'm so excited for you.
May how's your healing going?
I've had a right good potter round house today, a bit itchy at times with this blooming strapping and feeling a bit tight, but overall feeling fab. Had a great nights sleep last night, v pillow defo helped, my hubby can hardly fit in the bed with all my pillows. x

Hi Louise I'm feeling really good, starting to really love the boobs, they're still firm but everyday they improve, getting like pins and kneedles sensations at times so think that might be nerves maybe, can't wait to get measured etc I know it's away off yet but it brings a whole new meaning to the new year lol

Re: December Buddies
Oh May & Louise, so glad you're doing well. I think the unknown of the recovery period is the thing i'm most scared of..it's so reassuring to hear all you ladies are doing so well.
I think i'm totally in denial at the moment. I haven't taken any pre-op photo's yet - part of me can't bear the thought of the photo evidence, but i also think it's important to have post op...little reminder of why i did it! I'm going to totally enjoy tomorrow, and then Sunday start getting organised.
Happy friday ladies

I found it really hard to do the pre op pics, especially coz my hubby took them, lol, then I freaked out coz I noticed my right boob bigger than left, so maybe best to do your pics day before op, think it's good to defo do them though, it really helps to look at them after op.

Re: December Buddies
I did mine about 12 at night, my left boob was bigger than my right after breast feeding two babies, so my surgeon stuck a thing in left pumped it up 270cc and then 300cc to see which looked best she went with the 300 the lefty still bigger but got more swelling due to extra work, but I'm hoping they will be fairly level when settled, but defo good to have pre op pics I've looked at mine a few times over the last week

Re: December Buddies
evening girls :)
Senora, Louise and May it's great coming on and reading how well you're doing! I think I say it all the time but it's really great and actually provides a bit of comfort cos it makes me a bit like I know what I'm going into and what to expect :)
Miss C enjoy your weekend and the final days before your new boobies! :) I can't believe how quick it's come round! All the best to you lovely :)
Right... I'm going to ask such a daft question now. HOW do you make a 'pillow fort'?? I'm terrible for sleeping on my front and sides so I thought I'd try to build one beforehand to see if I could and I just keep ending up on my sides and right down my bed. I know once I get my boobs I'll be in a bit of discomfort and might be restricted to do this anyway but is there a trick? I have 4 pillows and a v pillow on my bed, is that enough?! xx

Re: December Buddies
imagining you building the pillow fort, it's a proper comedy. I just entered 'Pillow Fort' in search engine above and got instructions there, but not sure if I've got it exact right. My version is I have 2 pillows behind my head and v pillow on top of that, I have 1 pillow down my sides under each arm, I also have a pillow under my bum and I lie on another pillow coz I kept waking up with backache. Really has helped me sleep, but it's hilarious trying to get in and out of.Look at your wee ticker saying 7 days eeeeek.x

Re: December Buddies
Yeah you're raised enough but not sitting bolt upright.
I can't believe I'm on day 5 today either, I totally kicked day 3 & 4 in the bum and thought I'd dodged the boobie blues and then today I've fallen out with my Macom and my 2nd bra's crap as well now, so going to M&S tomoz to sort it out.
But on a positive note I washed my hair myself this morning and went to Tesco & Asda today and boobs defo still in there and not exploding or fallen out as I'd imagined.x

Re: December Buddies
Yeah I saw your bra dilemma in another post! I've got the m&s 2 pack of bras- my surgeon told me to get 34D so I'm hoping they will fit afterwards. You should be able to try them on in there anyway won't you? :)
I bet it was nice to get yourself out the house for a while... just make sure you don't do too much! I'm nearing the end of my last Saturday as a flat chested one WOOP! :D xx
