BA booked! V nervous :-/
Have bitten the bullet and booked my BA! Just trying to focus on the end result at the moment, but I know when it comes to the day I will be completely terrified!! Op is on 5th November at the Hospital Group, Bromsgrove with Dr Zacchaddu. Hoping my recovery goes well as I have 3 young children and want to get back to normal ASAP. Any advice is very welcome :-)

Re: BA booked! V nervous :-/
Congrats on booking babe.
You might like to stop by the November Buddies thread, its only just gone up so you may be the first in there but it soon fills up... Its a sticky at the top of the general breast augmentation section of the forum, where all of our Buddies tend to congregate and chat, sharing all those emotions you go through on the run up to your ba and beyond with those going through the same at the exact same time as yourself.
When you have small children the key to a good recovery is 'preparation' the better prepared you are the easier things will be - arrange childcare for two weeks (you will not be able to lift your babies) one week will be fine if the children are of school age and don't need to be constantly watched over.
Preparing meals now and freezing the I'll help so much with you or the person helping to care for you and the kids can just heat through a meal rather than actually have to prepare the whole thing.
Be sure you do a shop before surgery that's going to get you through for two week, more if you want to, but two weeks is the minimum.
Get on top of all your washing and ironing before surgery and then if you haven't got help with washing and irony you'll know you'll at least enough for the kids to get you through without you having to do any of that whilst you're in the early stages if healing.
You will not be able to iron, Hoover or anything else that's going to put pressure on your upper body for 6 weeks, so whoever is going to be helping in the home, they too need to be prepared that you might 'look' ok after a couple of weeks, but inside the breast, you will NOT be ok and you will be continuing to heal inside for the full sox weeks. They should know that if you overdo things with children/work/housework and not follow the post-op instructions it could lead to complications that could lead to further surgery...and if the post-op instruction hasn't been followed your aftercare could be made void and all costs could be yours so its very important that both you and whoever is helping to care for the kids and yourself in helping at home know this... Its very important.
If you have everything prepared and in place... You'll do just fine. Xxx
