bras post op? brands/styles/shops??
So I'm nowhere near time to be buying bras yet, but I like to browse now!! (How times have changed-I used to avoid underwear shops, or sections in shops at all costs, most didn't do my size, so there was literally no point!)
I was just wondering what brands do you recommend? Are some brands better for people who've had breast augmentations in their overall fit/look? What styles would you recommend? Are there any that you would say are badly fitting and you would avoid? I'm planning on going and getting measured when the time is right, and buying a few different styles etc, but also want to get a couple online (obvs send back if their not right, just don't want to completely waste my time)
Cheers girls!!
Xx

It's totally trial and error hunny, balconetttes enhance the upper. Pole and suit augmented boobs beautifully.
Plunge for creating that push up look. Though with my 1st ba I didn't really suit them as I had a gappy cleavge .
Nice t shirt bras for everyday comfort, or invest in a few more sports bras for comfort!
Depending on your back size Freya, bravissimo, panache, shock absorber all go down as low as a 28 back.
Getting properly fitted makes the world of diffrence to the look of your boobs x

Great question. I don't seem to have any specialised lingerie shops near me. John Lewis and M&S are my best options I think... or online like you said so be good to see what brands are popular.... Get them added to my Xmas list!! Xxx

Oh yeah, I cannot wait to get properly measured and fitted!
Interesting about the plunge bra, mine will be quite gappy as they were far apart to begin with, and my surgeon did warn me that that would t change much, so at least I'm not gunna be shocked if I try one and it doesn't look flattering on, like you say trial an error.
Always wanted a balconette bra (very small before so they were a no go!!!) And did suspect that they might be a good option for augmentated boobs!
Thanks for the advice!

Re: bras post op? brands/styles/shops??
Oh Jen,I have a family meal at the end of the month, and was worrying my head off about having no bra on at all (I'm not allowed any bra) in front of the in laws (non of them know about the op) and my nipples are a bit 'in your face Jenniftr Aniston sticking out' and I can't seem to hide it without overheating in clothes, which will mean I'm sweating my head off at the meal, so I asked my surgeon if I could wear anything for just 2hours gave home the date and he said a soft non wired bra, NOT sports though (I can't have tight fitting because of my valves) Eli be fine for the evening but that's it...so I got a really pretty looking one from boux avenue, got a lovely, and comfy, non wired, and I can wear it for a couple of hours, hose my nipples and wear a nice top to boot! Yay!!
(AND it was in the sale, lucky cos it's not gunna fit forever...with my growing boobies!!!)

Bravissimo all the way!
I went with a balconette for my first special bra, I didn't go mad because I know my assets are still going through "the change".
Has anyone got push ups now that they have had a BA?
I haven't been to Boux Avenue but have admired their bras online x

I know Jen....as if!! All soft porn like with the water gushing over my newly pert breasts, making my top cling seductively over my effect nipple, while the sister in law adverts her teenage sons eyes, and urges them, unsuccessfully, to carry on eating their seared scallops...awkward!!! Xx HahAhahahahaha!!!!

Re: bras post op? brands/styles/shops??
Just sat there casually with a hose pipe in my hand pointing to my breasts...
Mother in law: "so, have you any news love?"
Me "erm, no nothing I can think of, nothing different from last time, I always like to hose my (suspiciously larger) breasts, especially over dinner...the baby can say mama now...that's about all that's been going on, sorry can you just hold my hope pipe so I can change into a white top, it's a little more effective I find.....Oh it appears your grandsons would prefer to help-cheers lads. Such helpful boys. More wine anyone?"

Got to agree. bravissimo is the best place to go especially for a first fitting and if there isn't a bravissimo near you then googling a lingerie shop near you will be just as good. Bra specialists are by far better than the lingerie departments in the large department storesLJR wrote:Bravissimo all the way!
Balconettes are a great first bra after a BA. Boobs are generally still held high when you go for your first fitting and other bras can often just put emphasis on them being augmented, but a balcony embraces the height of new boobs and makes them look like to their supposed to in a balconette bra.I went with a balconette for my first special bra, I didn't go mad because I know my assets are still going through "the change".
Yup. I wouldn't wear them for every day. I'd take someone's eye out lol. But for a night out when I want a bit of oomph, then the good old Freya deco comes out. Love that bra. Makes ya boobs go POW! Haha. XHas anyone got push ups now that they have had a BA? x

Re: bras post op? brands/styles/shops??
Hey, I recommend sports bras by Shock Absorber. I've been using them long before I had a breast surgery, and now that I have bigger breasts they still give a very good support and they're very comfortable too. Right after the surgery they gave me a bra to wear for a month day and night, so I didn't have to buy any other. Now I'm using shock absorbers. I also recommend Panache and Freya for regular bras. The quality is great, and they are soooooo pretty! :D
