Post op bras
Everyone always says a good sports bra is best for after augmentation but what about mastectomy bras or maternity bras? They all have good support?

Re: Post op bras
I haven't had my op done yet (27th), but my surgeon told me only to use a sports bra.

Re: Post op bras
Really how much? I was also told today at my pre op to get one that does up at the back not one that you pull over your head, which i guess makes sense xx

Re: Post op bras
I'm having my BA with transform in feb and I was also told to only buy sports bra which are front fastening. That ruled out the Macom and Royce straight away which I found odd as they are both made for breast augmentations. So I brought one from debenham's, there gorgeous range and although I am yet to use it, it seems really nice and doesn't look like it will rub against my scars at all. I need to get a few more though so may try Asda and M&S xx

Re: Post op bras
The Macom surgery sports bras only come in band size not cup size, they stretch to whatever you have there, so just order whatever band size you already are if your going to get one of them babes xxx

Re: Post op bras
The surgical one babes, if you read the info on them the elastic one is more post op and to help lift. Just remember to look at the size guide and measure your band to make sure you get the right fit, it's a pain sending rungs back and exchanging xxxxxx

Re: Post op bras
Im post surgery from two BAs.. the bra's I have been told to use each time are front fastening non wired sports/support bras.. the thing is you need to be able to lie on your back for long periods of timeespecially at night and rear fastening are very very uncomfortable for that.. plus you need to be able to take them off easily.. especially just post op.. as you will not be able to move your arms very well for a number of weeks.. especially just post op.. It can hurt..
Hope this helps! xx

That's exactly what the macom bra is like, plus it won't go out of shape or stretch xxxxx

Hey Girls
Im getting an Uplift and Implant on Monday and I was told to get a sports bra as they have more support than maternity bras etc and I need all the support I can get as the last thing I need is for them to sag again ha. I got a front fastening one from M&S as it will be a lot easier to get on and off and dont need to lift your arms. Hope this helps xx

Re: Post op bras
hi girls,
just checking out the Macom surgery bras.... are these suitable to use straight after surgery??? i am currently wearing a white one with very thick velcro straps which is very visible through clothing unless you wear a dark high necked tshirt!! i have been given another one exactly the same to change into after a few days.....
however i much prefer the look of this one!!!
