Re: September Buddies
Hi kel! That's good news!! Are you on your side yet to sleep? I'm still really happy in my Macom because I love the support it gives me ! Last night I rolled onto my side without thinking and it didn't feel good but I guess it's a positive that I'm starting to move easier!
I find it weird being numb but it's not bothering me because my 'boobs' have never been sensitive pre BA!!
September is officially over xx

Same kel :) slightly on my side!
I did see it but again it's surgeons preference and their advice always differs, it's safe to just follow the advice you have been given :) LJR has been told to wear the strips for 6 months! It just varies soooo much :)
I've not got the go ahead yet for scars but I'm not looking forward to touching them! X

Re: September Buddies
Thanks ladies.......... Feeling bit better tonight, managed some soup.......... And stayed down. Thought it may be the codeine...............
Kel, that's great that you have had stitches removed and can massage scars now. Those lil vest tops with built in support are really nice got lots in m and s. all colours......
Jen, hi Hunni, side sleeping will be odd after sleeping on back for so long...... I'm finding this back sleeping hard. Mind you only done 2 days........hahahahahahaha.
I'm finding the bum shuffling hard. My left boob is rock hard and sore, other fine. Feels like sunburn........... Very early days. I suppose wrenching didn't help matters.........

Re: September Buddies
Well done bizzy! Sorry you've had a sickly initial couple of days. Feeling sick is just horrible. And on top of your usual post op ailments - it must be quite tough. Are they all dressed or can you see them?
My right boob is lovely and dropped but my left is still a bit high. Only marginally so it's ok. The feeling near my incisions is gradually coming back. Strange because suddenly 10 days on, my actual boob is tender. But I guess it's all coming back to earth after the trauma. I loved my first shower and was surprised to see my boobs still intact afterwards. I expected them to smell water close by and immediately fall out of my stitching. I obviously tried the hair dryer trick in your honour, Jen!
I live a good 3 hours from all family so I had put the chore of telling them about this op until I see them at Xmas. But my dad dropped in on a surprise visit yesterday. He squeezed me so hard I yelped and then suddenly remembered my new boobs! We had a weird cowboy stand off for a few seconds. I just said, "you know don't you...." He said, "know what? You tell me!" I ended it with, "er, nothing". It was never talked of again! Swept beautifully under the carpet.
So, Kel, do you have some stitches out next time or is that all done regarding stitching for you?

Yay bizzy :) the codeine made me feel really sick but for the first few days I had no appetite really so I are little and often around the pain relief,... Which the appetite stayed that way lol!! Hope you manage to rest up and have a smooth recovery :)
Ladt night I actually managed on my side but didn't like it! It's like a snail sliding down my chest wall I could just imaging lol... So no it didn't happen!!
Hahaove that story nsaw about your dad!! I'm sure he thought its best not to ask lol :) good to hear your healing well... Mine are still even and examining them from earlier pictures I would say they have started to drop but because I had my crease lowered I was told it can take a while as it's new so fingers crossed...
It feels complete now!
How fast is time going?! It's already a third of the way through October really?! Xx

Re: September Buddies
Morning ladies.
Kel, didn't sleep too well, just couldn't get comfy, I ended up sleeping in lounge. We've got a chaise on end of sofa with electric backrest......... So I slept from 4.30- 7. Better than in bed I think. This anaesthetic has knocked me for six. I'm normally o.k. Oh well.
Nsaw, I've only got steri strips on and my sports bra. It's very tight from swelling. When I saw them yesterday they looked like torpedoes, not a good look.
Jen, I'm taking my other tabs but leaving codeine for now. Until I can eat. No appetite whatsoever. I go back Tuesday for stitches out of eyes and wound check on boobs. I'm just hoping I feel better.
My left boob is real sore. Right one fine. I've been putting ice packs on. I'm sure things change daily.... My eyes are bit itchy, no pain at all..... So that's good. I do get real heavy eyed and bit blurry though....
Hope all you September buddies are o.k and healing real well .

That's good :) day 2 I only took the codine to get me through the night! The first few are restless which is annoying when you want to sleep but it will get better :) the sofa does sound comfortable! The I've packs are great... I used them a lot of my areolas when they were really sore to try to numb them a little!!
I'm sure you feel much better by Tuesday :) xx

Re: September Buddies
I'm sure I will Jen..... I think it's just me and codeine, doesn't seem a good combination.
The ice packs are amazing.... I got antibiotics and strong ibuprofen and paracetamol too. All off hospital. Keep taking me antibiotics and, ibuprofen. So it's not too bad. I would say my left boob feels very sunburnt, uncomfortable. My rightie is absolutely fine. But left a lot more swollen .. It's only day 2.... I hear day 3 is worst....... So get tomorrow out way.

I didn't like the antibiotics... Why do tablets sometimes taste like fart haha?! Nasty but that's the way to describe them I think!!
Day three was the worst for me but in an emotional way lol! I kept crying but I think your a lot stronger lol, the worst pain I ever had way from my back so fingers crossed your sail through xx

Re: September Buddies
Antibiotics taste vile, you can taste them for while after too.
I was preparing for the back pain Hunni. I got a wheat ice, you stick him in micro. He was a massive help when I had kidney stones......... So I will put him in my back if I start to feel bot uncomfy...........
I am dreading this day 3, is that including surgery day? That's tomorrow if so if not Friday......... I've heard it's quite common to get low on this day. I just hope my turning point comes after........
How you doing Jen anyway? How they feeling? Xx

Day 1 is your first full day of boobies not your actual BA day :)
I'm feeling really really good! Everything is back to normal! I can even gently jog down the stairs etc lol, a few things are a bit difficult such as closing the car boot but yer feeling great!!
Have you had a look at your boobies? Or are they underwraps! I just keep touching mine lol xx

Re: September Buddies
Jen, I'm glad you are getting back to normality Hunni. Mine are in sports bra, which she squeezed me into. So I may change to macom tomorrow. It doesn't feel too bad though. It's quite deep so not on incisions at all. It's a m and s zip front one. Nice. They look very high and hard as rock, my leftie much harder. My day 3 is tomorrow then....... I'm going to sleep til day 4 then I will miss it!!!!!
My mum is coming to do my housework tomorrow, she's the funniest person ever so I know she will keep me upbeat........
Kel. I'm glad you are pleased too Hunni, it takes time doesn't it? I'm just impatient. They say Rome wasn't built in a day...........good job really or we would have high expectations....
I've just read an implant weighs 2 pound, is that right....... I suppose it depend on size....... Crickey I'm carrying around 4 pound extra if it is....... Blimey.......... Amazing what you can learn when you're bored and on Internet!!!!!!!! Another amazing fact or not!!!!! Just wanted to share....

Yes it will depend on size...
I looked online for mine so
460x2= 920
920x 0.0375(1cc=0.0375) = 34.5
34.5\ 16= 2.15 pounds for me!! (Not sure why it's 16 though but yer! So that's my maths done for the year lool!! XX

Re: September Buddies
That's impressive Jen, that calculating............ I'm possibly just under 2 pound each with my 420s........ Will make me feel better when I get on scales........... I think as soon as we get active again it will drop off.........
Mind you still got very little appetite, the smell of food is giving me a sicky feeling......... Hate that!!!!
The dreaded day 3 today................ Again just dozed on and off through night, got up twice for lil walk around, and to put my wheaty in the micro for bit of back pain easing, really helps....... Also got the old ice packs on the go.
Jeeze I feel like a geriatric......
My best friend came around last night, and put my hair in a lovely high bun...... Just feels fantastic........ Hate my hair looking a mess....... Mind you we did laugh when I said that she said " crickey you want to see your face" the bruising is rather bad, but no pain whatsoever. Just dry blood and the stitches are tickling...... She's been so supportive through this.... Bless her...... I'm very lucky!!
Kel, how you feeling? Hope you are o.k. It's the resting I'm having trouble with. Nightmare..... I'm such a fidget...........

I hope everyone is well and are loving your boobies. I am very much so. Can't wait to unleash the beasts! I have my 6 week check up more at the 8 week mark but I dont think that's an issue but I just wanna be told when I can start treating them as my own again. Partner cannot wait until they are out of their hammocks either. Lol.
Will read through the recent conversations later this evening to catch up on everyones lives but I haven't got the time this morning as thought I'd log in quickly before going to work.
Speak to you all soon.

Hi yolanda!! Great to hear from you, hope the job search is going well :) my 6 week check is I'm the 23rd so I'm looking forward to it :)
Bizzy I bet that feels nice to have your hair up! Have you got good arm movement? It sounds like your doing well though! Take it easy and your be ok!! :D
I'm off out today (iphone camera has decided to go blurry on me) so getting that fixed and meeting friends for lunch and a bit of shopping (they don't actually know and that sounds bad but I don't want to risk gossip.... I didn't see them much when I lived at uni so still building up the relationship again) xx

Hi yolanda, glad you are doing well. Cricket I can't believe it's been that long.... How time flies.......xx
Jen, my right arm is good, I'm using it quite bit. Does twinge bot if held too high. However my left I think I'm being more careful with because of these shooting pains in my leftie. It seems any sudden movements and it really twinges. So just being bit more careful at the mo.
Enjoy your lunch Hunni, nice to get out of the house. I hate being cooped up...... It's just with my eyes so bruised and bloody, I don't want anyone to see me.....
Enjoy your day with your friends.....xx

Re: September Buddies
Hey girls
Bizzy I'm sorry you're struggling to sleep - I have to be honest, I took the Tramadol they gave me a night not for the pain but to help me sleep through the night!!! Probably a bit naughty but it did the job that's for sure. That chair you have sounds amazing, I struggled sleeping more than ever initially, even with my pillow pyramid :-( As for day 3 - I made plans to have lunch with the girls and get out of the flat for that day and I was fine. In fact the worst day for me was day 5 & 6, I was just about hitting meltdown then over the friggin strapping! I was not in my happy place AT ALL. Its funny my leftie has been the most painful right throughout too! They're pretty much fine now, except my nipples are still uber sensitive to the point of painful at times, and they are standing to attention most of the time which can be quite annoying.
Nsaw that sore boob thing on hugging - thats still happening to me now! Otherwise I don't really notice them - I have odd days where I get the odd shooting pain, and the incisions hurt a bit sometimes but not always.
Kel, am SO with you on best money ever spent! They just look awesome - I can't stop smiling when try them out in clothes he he!
xXx
