Bex lift and aug
Arrived at 7.30 and was taken to my room then the nurse came along and booked me in, took off my trousers to have a wee for the pregnancy test then in walked nurse and the surgeon lol
Got me to take off my top and bra for photos and marking and told me it wouldn't be long. Gown knicks and stockings on! Waited a bit for the anaesthetist and texted a few people then he walked in and I didn't get chance to see the replies because in come the nurse and porter and I was taken down. Nurse was lovely making me giggle because I had become a little panicky. It was 9 am.
Had the cannula put in. Given a drug to make me feel spacey (like happy happy drunk) but I'm not sure if this was actually the anaesthetic because I don't remember anything after that.
Woke and saw 11 on the clock
Then I was back in my room but I don't remember going there
Don't remember being alone but think the door was open and people wandered in. At 1 i asked the nurse to call my hub but she couldn't find his number so she got my phone out my bag and I just text him myself and a few other friends.
Then I dozed and the surgeon and anaesthetist both came round. I loved them totally so so much
Anaesthetist was checking I wasn't sick which I wasn't at all as I was last time I had a GA, he was really sweet and said something like you look really nice and really well
McGod also popped by and smiled lots and said he would see me tomorrow but that he was pleased.
Thought they look quite small to me (but lying down so I wasn't too upset just noticed it)
Dozed more had half a ham salad sarnie, and 4 amazing cups of tea and a wee( very wobbly when i got up and wee was very trickly hehe)
And hubby came by but I was quite dozy so he went after an hour, left the tv on and I had that gorgeous sunday afternoon nap feeling listening to drivel. Was lovely. Had some para at this point I think.
Then my friend text saying she could come over if I wanted and I said yes, was feeling less sleepy so had half a panini and more tea! Helen came about 5.30 and stayed til Matt came at 7.30 to say goodnight. Had great natter and a gossip which was good fun. When I went to the loo I lifted the gown to have a look at them upright and they're quite bloody impressive!!!
Still feeling in very little pain
Had a hot choc and a wee and asked for pain relief really to help me sleep
Took a while to come due to handovers and I got a bit worked up I think because I just wanted to get to sleep and didn't want to until I'd had it, so had a bit of a blub.
Had some para and codeine about 9.45 and went to sleep. Woke about 5 for a wee and morning boob makes an appearance!! Ouch it feels like a half ton of bricks on each breasticle!
More codeine and back to bed for a doze
Then I had my breakfast another doze, nurse helped me get dressed and the surgeon came round to say goodbye and check me
I go back a week Wednesday for the dressings to be removed
All in all I'm amazed at the lack of pain and sickness, really happy with how they look at the mo, obviously it's early days but hopefully all good things to come in terms of improvements

Thanks Hun, he really is a lovely guy and obviously very talented
His manner is so reassuring too. He emailed me himself in the week reassuring me, he really didn't need to do that! X

He does go that extra mile for his patients Bex. Like you say, he's very reassuring and takes that time for YOU as an individual. Which I can tell you now babe, you do not get that at all from most surgeons. Xx
Re: Bex lift and aug
I was so close to telling him about his online nickname lol

Ohh..I'm sooo happy for you!
And I really can't wait to see the result!!
It would be so funny if you told Dr McGod his nick name on your check up
I have about 10 questions for you but I'll take them 1 and 1 so I don't drive you crazy
Nr 1: Do you have a bra on? And if you have, which one?
(sorry for sounding like a pervert )

Re: Bex lift and aug
Hey booby buddy
Yes I have a bra on but didn't initially, just dressings then they put the bra on today when i was getting ready to go. It is an m&s sports bra front fastening
When I need to wash it I will put the macom on as its a bit tighter but at the mo I feel I need the extra band width around the wounds
Xx

Is the pain level what you expected?

Re: Bex lift and aug
Far far less than I expected
If I expected a 10 it's about a 2

Re: Bex lift and aug
Thats perfect. Since you are so nice and answer my posts I shoot away a couple of more questions
How long did the drawing/marking/measuring thing take? 30 seconds or more like 5 minutes?
Are you on antibiotics now?

Re: Bex lift and aug
Have you seen them?
How soon after you woke up did they tell you that the operation went well?
Last question for today : Can you feel that you have implants?

Re: Bex lift and aug
Yes I looked in the bathroom in the mirror
They look plump from the front but not massively different but from the side there's a massive difference!
I don't remember them saying it went well, when I sat up the nurse changed my dressings and said they looked good thenmcgod came about 2 ish I think to say he was pleased
Yes I think I can feel I hav implants I can feel the change in volume but no line around the edge or anything like that.
And the anaesthetist is so so lovely he will really help you out too xx
