Hi girls, I don't often write on here but I always check you lovely ladies and how well your doing, every time I want to ask a question I seen to find the answer on here, which is great because there is such a wealth of information... Anyway I would like to ask, I'm 4 1/2 weeks post op now, everything has been fine, just the odd nerve pain little sore still and twitching! My scars were glued, so the healing was quite quick, but today my left scar seem a little sore  slightly red also a little tiny lump on the end  (Scars are on my crease) is this ok, I'm now panicking I have an infection.. Help....

Its OK Lee the lump at the end is probably just the knot from the dissolvable stitches working its way to the top of the skin and the redness is quite possibly caused by irritation from your bra band.

Try using a panty liner or a sanitary towel (sticky side pressed against your bra) to act as a nice soft cushion for your incisions for a few days and see if that helps at all.

If you start to see any stitch coming through (these troublesome stitches are called spitting stitches) then just make an appointment with your clinic nurse to just have the stitch snipped and removed. It doesn't hurt at all Lee and is over in no time! Once the stitch has gone everything does then settle down very quickly.

Of course if you're overly concerned at all Lee, you paid a lot of money for your aftercare babe, so don't be shy of picking up the phone and calling the clinic and requesting being seen if you need to, even if its only for some reassurance. Xx
