The Weirdest sensation!
My boobs have started itching today. But i cant feel it exactly! Its like, I know somethings going on, but its not quite a tickle or an itch, and I cant scratch because theyre numb!! Maybe I'll slather on some moisturiser to help.
In other booby news, everything seems to be going ok. I'll be 12wks on Sunday. The pain in lefty has FINALLY settled down. I think its come a little lower, but they still look crosseyed! Lefty is higher and wider while righty is lower and fuller. Still getting some pinging sensations, and have started to feel a little bruised on the outer edges of the crease, but i think thats just from sleeping. Finally got myself a Macom to sleep in, but I have to stuff a rolled up sock in my cleavage, otherwise they ache in the morning. Scars are still very pink and lumpy at the sides, but starting to flatten.
Seeing my Surgeon on the 7th (wk14), so hopefully I'll get the all clear for 'full time' wires and swimming. Been wearing them for the odd night out, have a beautiful one that makes them look HUGE, with a grin on my face to match!! But they actually dont look too bad in the sports bras I have. Which I've taken to wearing around the house pretty much full time, just PJ bottoms and a sports bra!
So yeh, doing great, no complaints so far!

Re: The Weirdest sensation!
I was massaging them at night, but then forgot for like, 2wks, so trying to get back into the habit. They're so sore afterwards though, but I know its got to be done!
Its so odd isnt it, if i touch them myself I cant feel a thing, but if my towel brushes over them its like 'OMG owee'! They cant decide if theyre coming or going!

Re: The Weirdest sensation!
I used to get a kind feeling like ants running over my boobs and I'd instinctive rush my hands to my chest but nothing there! I also experienced a trickling sensation, that was most odd! It felt like cold water running over my boob.
Its weird all these sensations but get and some are really unpleasant, but ultimately they're a good sign! It means the nerves are repairing and sensation is returning to the breasts.
Good to read you're enjoying yours Charlii. Xx

Re: The Weirdest sensation!
I remember the feeling, it was very strange. I found lightly rubbing the itchy area helped.

Re: The Weirdest sensation!
Yes it came back gradually, after the itching feeling I found I got shooting pains in the areas, my one breast the feeling started coming back quite quickly and was back by 6 months post op and the other breast took about 9 months to be 95% back.

It can take between 1-2 years for feeling to return after the trauma of surgery. It's a really strange itchy feeling and it can feel sometimes like the inside of your boob is itching but you obviously can't scratch it. It's a really good sign that your nerves are healing.
