Healing & Recovery Journey Take It Easy! Empty Healing & Recovery Journey Take It Easy!

Post by ladyd14 25th August 2013, 7:02 am

I've been taking it easy. But yesterday i pushed to far, I woke up feeling fine then Hoovered the house did all the housework. I was all in a Jolly mood. Decided to take a walk to town center. I have to say on my way to town center i kept  noticing  people looking at my chest. I'm not used to that,  Lol that made me worry that maybe my Boobies are too big haha, or maybe it's coz of the swelling Boobies are still high up. I felt okish i was shopping for only small items. Then i started feeling weird chills like a fever. And also my temperature could feel my body heating up lol. I felt soo Unwell nope I didn't finish my shopping, i decide get a taxi and went home. When i got home all i wanted was a cupp of tea and Sleep. Lesson learned i'm forgetting that i had Uplift & BA.
Boobies still feel very tight, and they've started making gurgling noise, It's not too bad bad it's freaking me out i don't want to hear it. nope nope . Apart from that everything seems fine Boobies looking way better that before.Cheerleader  I don't think i will be bothered with the Scars to be honest  i can live with that. Before my Boobies were horribly droopy after having children breastfeeding & weight loss. Xx.

It's easy to overdo it I suppose especially if your quite active. It's everything in moderation.... It's easy to go over the top as you probably felt good when you woke up. Your body soon tells you though...
I think I'm going to find it so hard to do nothing.... I will just have to ease myself in gently...
Take it easy ladyd happy healing!!!!xx

Just to echo what Natty said babe. Hoovering is a BIG no-no after surgery throughout your six week recovery. You're pushing that Hoover back and forth, you may as well be in the gym pushing weights your body will feel the same. You really should put any pressure on your upper body at all sweetheart and this undoubtedly is what's knocked you for six babe.

Good to read you're now taking it easy though hun and yes... Sometimes it does take our bodies to give us a good stern telling off in the way yours did today to help remind you that you have just had major surgery and your body needs time to recover.

Really hoping you're feeling much better now Ladyd. Hug

Buy canesten pessary and cream over the counter at a pharmacy...you need to use them both. They will clear it up as quick as.

Thank you! ladies It's getting better now.
Today i've been to my Wound Check first appointment. I'm very pleased the Nurse said my wounds are healing well. She did say they are healing as how wounds should heal. When she changed the dressing i didn't even feel any pain at all. I thought it was painful.  I'm now determined to continue taking my healing journey easy. xx

Pain wise i'm feeling much better Cookie, thank you. My Chest is still tight though. I feel when I'm walking my posture is not quite right. If I walk around and stand up for a long time. I start feeling terrible back ache. Xx

It's normal to get a bit of back ache after you BA because we automatically take on a protective stance of hunching over when standing and sitting. Try to correct yourself to your normal stance rather than the protective one which should help with the back ache. A hot water bottle on your back can help ease the pain if needed. Glad you're feeling better.
