Slowly slowly...
Im not sure whether this is day 2 or 4 post op, as ive had two! But definitely feeling slightly better. No sickness really, now that I'm just taking paracetamol, although I am a little worried that my anti-nausea drugs are running low... should I order more from the GP? I am still on the antibiotics which could be contributing... Quite keen to be off all meds asap though.
Pain is pretty constant at heavy discomfort, the worst pain is obviously the left boob which has had two operations, especially around the bottom crease where all the dressings are lying heavily. Worst thing is going from lying to sitting or vice versa, my back is NOT enjoying all the awkward positioning! Not having any sleep trouble though which is amazing, cause I need my sleep!
All in all, day 3 (or 4!) def better than day 2 (or 3!) and hoping that after the weekend I will feel even better. Could never imagine going out the house yet or even really having visitors... is that normal?
All your support is so lovely, I think this forum should be mandatory when u sign up for any breast op!

Re: Slowly slowly...
Hey honey! I can't really help as I'm not as experienced as some other girls on here but maybe do get some more anti nausea tablets as I guess it's better to have some than not.
I hope the discomfort starts to fade for you soon! Glad you're getting sleep too- it would probabily seem a whole lot worse of you couldn't...... I'd be so moody lol. Hope you feel better soon honey xxx

Re: Slowly slowly...
I didnt leave the house, apart from just strolling around the garden until 9 days post op! Just didn't feel like it, but obviously pottered about and got some fresh air, and went out in car. And didn't wanna see anyone either, I didn't worry about it, so try not to. You have had a bit of an ordeal, got to heal, get your head around that. Then there's the pain, looking worse for wear... I am

Re: Slowly slowly...
I had no intention of leaving my house until I was feeling up to it. I walked round the house, but that's about it! I went to my follow up appointments but I prob stayed in for a good 2 weeks lol. I had a few visitors but kept it short but sweet! People probably found me very strange, just me and my boobs, ha!
If you are still feel nauseous I'd get some tablets just so you have them, u don't need to take them if you don't want to. Sleeping is very good. Hopefully you will be pain free soon and back to enjoying your normal life xx

Re: Slowly slowly...
The discomfort you're feeling from lying to sitting is called 'morning boob' Elizabeth, because its at its worst when you first get up from sleeping. I've packs placed over the tops of your boobs really help ease that.
With your back, just ensure your head and shoulders are raised higher than your chest,no need to be sitting up or anything. A pillow and your V-pillow should be enough to have you 'propped up' I found a pillow under each arm helped support me along with one also under my knees to take the strain from my back helped lots.
A rolled towel in the small of your back eases the discomfort too hun and a hot water bottle there is a blessing!
If you're feeling better now I'd personally see how you go without then anti-sickness meds. If you start to feel nauseous again then a call to your GP should sort that out hun.
Do try and get yourself up for little walks throughout the day now, although you may not fee l like it being up and mobile really is the way forward to quicker healing. Xx

take it easy!
hi huni,
Take it easy and let your body dictate what you can & can't do.A week from now you'll be surprised at how much better you feel and at how much more you can do (thats how it was for me anyway) . You've been through alot the last few days and if you don't feel like visitors or going out then don't,just do what you feel up to! x
