Hi ladies,

well im still having an issue with my wound. It now just over 2 and half weeks since my full uplift and implants. I have what the nurse called a sloughy wound right on the t-cut. They have tried a sliver dressing which hasn't helped and now the nurse but a honey dressing on it. Its not getting larger but not healing - im worried if im honest. anyone got any experience of this? xxx

Wow, never heard of my hometown used to describe a wound before...!

I looked it up, and it should be fine. Just give it some time and hopefully the honey dressing will work. Take it easy and feel better love xx

Aww sweetheart. Are you having to regularly go back to the nurse to have the slough scraped away babe?

This sometimes helps when the slough is removed to encourage the good tissue underneath to heal lovely.

The silver dressings or inodine dressings do help, so bare with those hun.

If you're changing the dressings yourself, before reapplying, leave the bedroom window open babe (after the window cleaners been lol) and just lay and let the fresh air get to the wound for an hour before reapplying the new dressings.

Often sloughy wounds can take a while to heal, but they do get better lovely so don't worry Hug

They'll be OK babe. Just be sure to follow instructions and make an appointment for after the bank holiday so you can keep up with having the slough cleaned away. The more fresh tish there is, the sooner you'll heal babe.

You're gonna be fine! Enjoy your bank holiday and don't worry about it Twig Hug
