Wound check
Just back from the hospital after seeing the nurse. She removed the sticky plasters and didn't replace them as she said they were making my skin red and itchy. So glad because they were pulling my skin and really quite sore at times. She said all looked good, just have steristrips in place and can shower again

Re: Wound check
I also had my wound check today and dressings removed, everything looking good :-) this might be a stupid question...is it ok to get a bath aswel as a shower? Or are baths not good just yet? I really want a nice soak tonight but something at the back of my mind is saying baths aren't recommended just yet? I'm 2 weeks post op xxxx

Re: Wound check
Ive been taking shallow baths but the nurse told me today not to have a long soak for about 3 weeks. Annoying cos I could really do with a hot radox muscle soak x

Re: Wound check
Awwww you'll soon get your nice soak babe, you can't yet submerge the incisions because they're prone to infection right now, so you have to wait till the wounds are 'fully' closed. This is 'generally' about 6 weeks. Xx
Re: Wound check
