What massages are you told to do?
Hi ladies possibly too late to start the massaging process now at almost 10 weeks but what are the ones you are advised to do? Better late than never is my motto xxx

Hiya, I was told NOT to massage, it depends on your implants.
I sure someone experienced will be along to advise you on your particular implants - however if your PS has not told you to massage I would go with that x

Hey Halo. With textured implants, you're not supposed to massage at all to allow it to adhere/settle or something. Unless your surgeon has specifically told you to, I wouldnt do anything.
If we're talking scars though, just a few mins twice a day in a circular motion will do. Use something just as a lubricant, doesnt have to be bio-oil or whatever, its just to get the movement. Hope you're doing well :)

Re: What massages are you told to do?
If you've been given the all clear to treat your boobs as your own then you ARE actually able to massage now if you want.
The reason you can't massage 'textured' implants or polyeurothane during the recovery period is because the surface of the implant is created to adhere to the pocket and to enable this they need stability.
Once settled though and you get the all clear from your surgeon massage can actually be beneficial in warding off CC.
I know its sounds funny but every night I lay on my tummy and gently rock on my boobs a couple of times. I also squeeze the top of my boob and then do the same to the bottom a couple of times every day. I read about doing this about two years ago. I also recently read another surgeon suggesting post-op massage too to help keep a small space in the breast capsule.

This definitely shouldn't be done through anyone's recovery period though if they have textured implants. X
