Binder driving me crazy
Is it ok to take my binder off for a few minutes each day to let my boobies breathe a little? It is so tight an uncomfortable :(

My binder drives me nuts it's just so itchy, I change my bra daily and I let my boobs breathe for 5 mins plus I like to sit and look at them lol! Where I find it most annoying I put cotton wool underneath which helps also. X

Mine is also very annoying and uncomfortable. I put some cotton wool pads underneath where it was rubbing under my arms and that has helped. I know it's got a job to do but I'm really not loving it at the mo :-( xx

Yeah mine is really tight. I've only had it on since my BA on weds, can't believe I've got to have it on for at least 2 weeks, agh! My surgeon said yesterday morning 'not tight just firm' but no idea what that means, I haven't touched mine since they put it on me after surgery but think I have swelled since then and now it's tighter! xx

Wow your lucky missvmac28 I've got wear mine for 4 and had it on for a week so far. I wear mine so I know it's on but not to the point where I'm thinking it's tight if that makes sense. My boobs are settling nicely I'd love to be able to take it off before 4 weeks but I'll do as I'm told and settle for 5 mins breathing and extra for shower. X

Re: Binder driving me crazy
Well I'm being optimistic I don't know if I can take it off after 2 weeks haha my surgeon never said he just said he will see me in 2 weeks. Maybe he will say then I've got to leave it on longer, so it's just at LEAST 2 weeks, could be longer! :-( xxx

Re: Binder driving me crazy
Yeah My surgeon said until further notice and I had my 1 week check yesterday and the nurse how long I've got to keep it on and told until I was told otherwise and she said 4 weeks is the normal, so I'm assuming when I go again beginning of sept I'll be able to say bye to it x

Re: Binder driving me crazy
Your binder has to be tight sweetheart for it to be able to do its job. I know its not pleasant but, but stay focused on the fact that its just a means to an end... A FABOOBULOUS end!
I really wouldn't disturb your boobs by removing the binder for at least the first week, this is when the most important of the healing is taking place babe, so I'd leave it be hun.
If its so tight you feel you can't breathe in it or that its so uncomfortable you can't bare it then it would be best to call your clinic babe. Xx

Re: Binder driving me crazy
aaw i feel your pain girls!! i had to wear my binder for 6 weeks as well, and i was soo glad when it came off!!
you will get through it though girls, its just another step on your ways to fabulous boobies!!
yes it is meant to be tight, but not so tight that you can't breathe! i did get a few red marks sometimes as it was fairly tight but nothing too bad. i was told to pull the back of mine down to round about wear a bra strap would normally sit, if that makes sense. it just puts that little bit of downwards pressure on the boobs that they need. around your arm pits it's not meant to be that high that it would cut into you under your arms.
hope this makes a little bit of sense, but basically, you will get through it!! i had a countdown ticker on my phone :)
and i looved shower times, after which i would just sit still and let the boobies breathe for a little while before strapping them up again xx
