Has anyone been told they have Symmastia?
Did post part of this yesterday but not as a subject..
I was told by one surgeon yesterday that I have Symmastia.. but my surgeon before said nothing about this and that I was 'normal' as such..
Just wondering if any of you girls have it? Or have been told in the past you have?
Heres a quick definition btw..
Symmastia is defined as a confluence of the breast tissue of both breasts across the midline anterior to the sternum. It can be surgically corrected by a plastic surgeon. Basically, when people get 'uniboob' this is caused by symmastia..

Symmastia is a complication that can happen after surgery babe, but it is also something you can be born with as if the surgeon is right is the case with yourself.
We haven't had anyone but yourself here that has had this problem pre-op though lovely and I'd very much advise you see the opinion of a BAAPS surgeon before proceeding with your op babe and gathering further information before making any decisions.
We have had a lady here that had symmastia post-op and she had a hellish time getting her boobs corrected with her original surgeon not being up to the job if correction (it is a very complicated thing to correct and requires a surgeon very skilled surgeon) so she had to have another surgeon correct the problem for her, so see the best lovely... You don't want to have to go down the road of revision if you can help it. Xx
