Feel awful :-(
I am really feeling sorry for myself.
I've been sick twice today and have not kept anything down. I've took no painkillers as yet as I'm now too scared to eat in case i throw up again,
This binder is driving me mad, I can't breathe properly or get comfy :-(
Tips greatly appreciated xx

Re: Feel awful :-(
I get like how you have described when I'm feeling rundown, the dry mouth is a killer isn't it! I find making myself an ice cold water helps drinking the water slowly and eating the ice cubes really helps. Xx

Re: Feel awful :-(
Water, water, water babe. Sip through a straw as you won't gulp it and be easier to keep down.
It could be your anti bs hunny, maybe asked to go on a different one.
When you do feel up do eating something dry , dry toast or a rich tea biscuit. And nibble.
Just keep drinking water though hunny it'll flush the ga out quicker xxxx
And happy healing x

Re: Feel awful :-(
If you're in the hospital Jo, do ask the nurses for something for the sickness hun. They can sort anti-sickness meds out and you'll soon feel much better.
If you're at home and still feeling the same tomorrow then you could call your GP and ask for a prescription for anti-sickness meds if you feel its bad lovely.
If its manageable for now, then then as mrsball said babe, lots of water if you can manage it. Ginger is very good for helping with sickness, so maybe try a ginger biscuit hun. Taking pain killers on an empty stomach will just make the sickness worse, so you're right to hold off there for now. You're best getting the sickness under control first then once you can keep things down if you feel you need the pain meds then try and take them then... Paracetamol will be fine to take though. They won't upset your stomach if you need something Jo.
Also acupressure too can help. I got this tip because I was so scared of being sick after being terribly ill after my second surgery. So just use your thumb to put pressure on the inside of your wrist for 30 seconds. I thankfully didnt need to try it out myself, but I just thought I'd pass on the tip for you to try lovely. Xx

Hi princessjo, I hope the toast went down ok and u now back in the land of nod. My delightful boys decided 5.30am was the time to wake us all up today! Sooo tired. Will have to nap later!
Anyway I really hope you feel better when u wake up. Feeling sick is horrid. Like the other girls have said, try drink as much water as u can today as u need to flush the GA out.
That's great u managed some sleep as well.
I am excited to hear about ur lovely new boobies xxx

Re: Feel awful :-(
Aw princessjo, really sorry to hear that you are feeling bad. I hope that you are feeling a bit better after that bit of food and painkillers. The nurses actually brought me ginger biscuits when I was in hospital and they really did help with nausea even though I arent too keen on them! So might be worth a try?

Re: Feel awful :-(
Hey girls
I kept the toast down and took my painkillers
Went back to bed at 5am and slept till 8:30. My boobs feel so tight and swolen now. I'm going to give the ice packs a whirl and so far I don't feel sick so fingers crossed that was the end of that x

Re: Feel awful :-(
Glad you managed to keep the toast down Jo. Whilst you're feeling a little queezy, it would be best to eat little and often hun rather than attempting a big meal, so just take things slow until you feel OK.
The icepacks are going to help the swelling and discomfort a lot. The majority of your swelling generally kicks in around day 3 so don't panic if you feel your boobs are tighter tomorrow. This is normal babe. Just keep the ice packs going and although you don't feel your best its important to get yourself up and have a little walk around every couple of hours. Not only will this help with the swelling to bring it down, but its also going to help quicken your recovery. Xx
