Anatomicals flipping?
I know that on rare occasions anatomical implants can flip. Does anyone know if it becomes less likely with time or whether there is always the chance?
I have left it a little late in the day to think of this, it has only just occurred to me.

Re: Anatomicals flipping?
This jesber, as you know I'm having anatomicals too, i am not worried about them flipping now as done quite but of research on Internet, u can read quite a lot of negatives at quick glimpse! B however the implant I have has a textured surface so apparently this helps the scar tissue form the tight capsule around implant. As they are under the muscle they are going to be held in place as well. My surgeon said there won't physically be any room for the implant to flip!
But others girls may have better knowledge!!!! Xxxx

Oh and this is why I've been told to do nothing for 6 weeks whilst the scar tissue forms, NOTHING! No headstands for sure!!

I have anatomicals and my surgeon advised me that it is very rare - practically non-existent if the surgeon does not over-disect the pocket. As Specialkj has said, if the pocket is the right size, there should be no room for it to flip :) - the implant sometimes also be put back into place without additional surgery x

Re: Anatomicals flipping?
It is rare, but there is always the possibility of this happening. So its good you're reading up about it. Sometimes, manipulation to put the flipped implant back into position is all that's needed to put things right if this did happen, at worse, its a simple picket revision to make the pocket smaller.
Its nothing that couldn't be fixed even if it were to happen babe so do always remember that.
To lessen the risk of flipping, the furry Brazillians would have the least risk because the coating on the implant actually attaches itself onto the tissue. Xx

Re: Anatomicals flipping?
just an add on here girlies, after readng the T&C'S for mybreast the other day to post on an unrelated thread, it did state they do not cover revision on anatomical rotation so best to check with your surgeon/company if this is covered :) xx

.... Or possibly revise aftercare asking if they offer the new insurance for BAAPS registered surgeons called ASC. This covers so much more than the aftercare does. X
Re: Anatomicals flipping?
Thanks, my surgeon also says that it is very unlikely. I am having textured and big implants so hopefully there shouldn't be room for them to flip. Panic is just starting to set in now

Try not to worry too much about it hun. If we all worried about these things, none of us would go ahead!
I had anatomicals back in march, and I love them xx
Good luck x
