Anatomicals?
Are they always done 'dual plane'? Is this to stop the implant turning?
What size did you get? projection and profile?
Would anyone be willing to share pics?
I think this is the implant I'm going to go for, but pics are proving hard to find.
I did look at Philip Turton's site and this helped me to make up my mind tbh.
I'm thinking maybe full height, mod profile, but will obviously see what surgeon says and follow his advice.
It does look like this might give the 'look' I'm trying to achieve.
Thanks ladies xx

Re: Anatomicals?
it is pretty much always unders for anatomicals i believe, as they have more of a defined ridge at the top and need the muscle to disguise it. I think they probably also need the muscle to keep them in place because of the risk of rotation

Re: Anatomicals?
Hi - I had teardrop 315 unders - moderate profile -the silimed polyurethane coated implants (don't move once in so no fear of rotarion) - have a look at my BA diary for more info about them. Sorry - I have no pic up but I absolutely love them!!

Re: Anatomicals?
i also have a question about Anatomicals .
do they cost more than round ..... reason for askin this , after seeing my ps and him suggesting the size of round implant , i read more about the teardrop shape and thought they might be more better for me in getting the look i want , i called the clinic to ask about this and i got told they are £1000 dearer then round .
my biggest fear is of them looking too round and stuck on so i think this would be the better shape for me .

Re: Anatomicals?
Hi sammi, I think it all depends on the clinic you go to - at THG I think I was quoted £250 more for anatomicals.

It is a common myth that round implants always produce a more "fake" look. This is not the case. Rounds can look just as natural as anatomicals, and vice versa. Actually, when a round implant is held in a vertical position, it takes on the same shape as the anatomical implant. This has been proven through x-rays. The result you get with the type of implant you choose will depend on your anatomy, the amount of tissue you start with, as well as your plastic surgeon, and how he/she creates the pocket.

Re: Anatomicals?
i had anatomicals, i was charged 3995 for the whole procedure and overnights stay, they where the only option i was given as very little breast tissue and it may have caused the posh spice look, but rounds can give a natural look aswell once they have settled

Re: Anatomicals?
When you see an implant they are flat on a table in a horizontal position. When they are in your body and you are stood up they are vertical

Re: Anatomicals?
I've got 375cc anatomical, moderate height, full projection, Allergan Soft touch implants and mine are overs chick they look very natural and I'm very happy with them. So anatomical's don't always have to be unders, I was concerned in case they rotated and I brought this up with my surgeon and he said that in all his time of being a surgeon he has never had one patient suffer with this. He said that as long as the pocket is not made too big then there is no chance of rotation.
They do cost more than round implants and think depends on which company you go with as to the price difference. xxx

Re: Anatomicals?
Ok, thanks girls.
I have another question then if you don't mind.... I've got my second consult tomorrow to decide on implants etc, but he has already quoted me for the surgery (Spire). Is this the cost regardless of the implant type?
If I decide to go for anatomicals, will there be more added on?
Also, he mentioned that as I've got 4 kids, I might want to consider staying overnight, but the cost doesn't state it's for overnight, just that this is the cost of surgery at Spire.
I'll ask him tomorrow. I do hope there's no hidden costs. Surely if he's given me a quote it's that price regardless of what happens, eh?
